I'm quietly confident Gravity will make #2, I think it's at a similar position to Wish You Were Mine just before that was released and Uptown Funk is obviously slowing down considerably now. It will be close with UF's streaming points factored in but I think (hope) it'll just about manage.

I think you and I are the only people who have predicted Gravity as #2 in the game. Everyone else seems to think 3 or 4!

I liked Gravity when I heard it in early November!! and would have bought it.

But now in February I have heard it lots on radio and music channels and I don't like it as much now so wont be buying anymore.

DJ Fresh always premiers his songs MONTHS before you can buy them  Two extreme examples I remember were Earthquake and Dibby Dibby Sound. First heard the latter on Halloween 2013 and it was released the following February!

If he puts the full audio on YouTube, people just download it from there  If you factor in that, his songs are genuinely popular.

Gravity was premiered early, but radio and TV really started playing it just after Christmas.

Optimists :)

I just look at like this, if LMLYD was still under old release date Ronson would be gunning for his 9th week at #1. I would back a "Fresh" track with 2 month built-up pre-orders & Radio 1 playlisting over the former in those circumstances so am doing the same here (for a position lower).

Just after Xmas?? That's 5/6 weeks ago and feels like longer lol

True 'dat

Uptown Funk is catching up quicker than I expected. And what is Sia doing as low as #15, I need it to go top 10 one week.

I think "Gravity" will do as much damage in the charts as "Dibby Dibby Sound" - somewhere in the top 5. Either way, the pre-orders should guarantee Ella Eyre a top 10 :cheer:

A couple weeks ago I thought Bakermat were a shoo-in for top 5... Now I think it will barely scrape the top 10

I think she's missed her chance now. I reckon it'll still have some good top 20 longevity and possibly sell up to 200 - 300k but the video which gave her her biggest boost came before she had ANY AirPlay. Saying all this her Grammys performance could easily go viral after Sunday and push her back up again... I wish she was doing the Brits :(
