Nightwish *.* I am intensely hyped for the new album, good to see them here, I will ignore the little slight at them being worse than WT as we all know that's not true, they are the gods of their genre. :smoke:

Β

I like your top songs, Amaranth and Sahara (and Storytime as well) are probably all in my Nightwish top 10.

40 | Tarja

Β

Album: What Lies Beneath

Songs: Never Enough, Underneath, I Walk Alone, Falling Awake, In For A Kill

Β

The first lead singer of Nightwish ends up beating them in my list, irony? Perhaps. I admit that I was not a major fan of Tarja-era NW for a long time, much preferring Anette, however, I invested in their GH and grew to adore Tarja and her voice. Her solo material far surpasses her work with Nightwish, her voice is heavenly and some of those notes that she hits....woof. Her work with Within Temptation is legendary.

39 | Carrie Underwood

Β

Album: Carnival Ride

Songs: Blown Away, Ever Ever After, Cowboy Cassanova, I Know You Won't, The More Boys I Meet

Β

Liam dead. Country queen Carrie ends up above LeAnn but below three other very important country stars. In terms of voice, there are few who beat her, IMO she is only surpassed bu Faith Hill and Martina McBride, say what you want but those two can belt out an emotional ballad or two. Liam will mock me for having Ever Ever After but considering it is in my all time fave Disney movie with Queen Amy of Adams, it was always gonna be up there. Bonus points for meeting the Queen too.

38 | Hilary Duff

Β

Album: Dignity

Songs: Fly, Wake Up, All About You, Gypsy Woman, Where Did I Go Right?

Β

Queen of Disney tbh. Everyone loved Lizzy McGuire and if you didn't then FOAD. As a singer, Duffster is pretty amaze, a nice little voice and some damn catchy songs, I do

prefer her movies though, some of which are flawless, Cadet Kelly >>>>> ur favs.

Β

37 | Christina Perri

Β

Album: lovestrong.

Songs: Human, Distance, Sea Of Lovers, Mine, The Lonely

Β

A pretty new-ish artist, only two albums down, but both those albums are of the all killer no filler bracket. Christina has a stunning voice and knows how to make some good tunes.

Human shoulda been a huge smash like Jar Of Hearts tbh. Sea Of Lovers slays careers.

Gonna pretend I didn't read that Carrie top 5. For two of the songs alone.

Noted career slayer Gypsy Woman tho *.*

36 | Brandon Flowers/The Killers

Β

Album: Flamingo

Songs: Crossfire, Midnight Show, A Dustland Fairytale, Read My Mind, Here With Me

Β

This is where the "ish" bit came in. The Killers would be nothing without Brandon so I lumped them together. I debated about doing this with Tarja, but Nightwish proved they can be amazing with Anette (and now Floor) I have been a fan of The Killers since Somebody Told Me, it was on a Now album I think and I adored it. Loved them and their lead singer ever since. Brandon is a DILF of the highest order and his voice is unbelievably amazing, looking forward to this new solo album tbh.

35 | Dannii Minogue

Β

Album: Girl

Songs: Touch Me Like That, Perfection, All I Wanna Do, I Don't Wanna Take This Pain, Someone New

Β

The second Minogue sister and the less famous one. When Kyie got sick I began to take note of Dannii and grew to love her music. She seems to have given up on releasing music, with only a few songs here and there, but I live in hope that we wll get another album from her.

34 | Lifehouse

Β

Album: Almeria

Songs: Between The Raindrops, Flight, Everything, Always Somewhere Close, Only You're The One

Β

Yeah, rock bands, woo. I only got to know this band because of Natasha Bedingfield who collabs with these guys on their immensly awesome single Between The Raindrops. I then dug a little deeper and kinda fell in love. Lead singer Jason has a lush voice and their songs are totally catchy. New album this year and if Flight and Hurricaine are anything to go by, it'll be incredible.

Β

33 | Ryan Adams

Β

Album: Ryan Adams

Songs: So Alive, Shadows, Am I Safe, When The Stars Go Blue, Halloweenhead

Β

The now former Mr Mandy Moore (R.I.P the most adorable couple ever ) He has a pretty cracking voice and writing ability and a very good work ethic, he's released like a gazzilion solo albums in the last 15 or so years. An odd character, he is known to walk out of interviews, especially if you ask him about his private life, which is not so private now that he is getting divorced from Goddess Mandy. Still, I love his voice and his albums are all pretty unique and packed full of tunage.

Β

Dannii :puke: In fact that goes for all the last 3 :( The Killerw are ok but I only like... what, 5 songs max

32 | Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Β

Album: Trip The Light Fantastic

Songs: Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer, Me & My Imagination, Catch You, Synchronized, Get Over You

Β

The British Kylie, only les amazing and successful. The perfect upper class Englishwoman. She has some damn catchy tunes and a gorgeous voice, shown beautifully in her latest album Wanderlust. Been a fan of her since she burst onto the scene with Murder on the Dancefloor, even though she was in theaudience before that.

Β

31 | Martina McBride

Β

Album: Shine

Songs: Concrete Angel, Ride, Anyway, Lies, Where Would You Be

Β

Another country belle, and one with a belter of a voice. I came to know her through Concrete Angel, which is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard, so sad and emotional. Martina hasn't really ever gone full on Pop like Taylor/Shania/Faith, but kinda developed her country-poppy sound to perfection. She's also duetted with goddesses like Kelly Clarkson, so there's that.

Β

30 | Jason Reeves

Β

Album: The Lovesick

Songs: Sticks & Stones, Helium Hearts, Gasoline, How Many Hearts, Rescue

Β

Can't imagine anyone knows this guy, which is a shame, he's got a great voice. Kinda cute too. A regular collab partner of Colbie Callait, he has a gift for songwriting and has some amazing albums. Sticks & Stones is a fab song and y'all need to download it. I demand it.

Β

29 | Phillip Phillips

Β

Album: Behind The Light

Songs: Raging Fire, Wanted Is Love, Searchlight, Gone Gone Gone, Can't Go Wrong

Β

American Idol winner and total hunk. His debut album came out almost 3 years ago but only just got released in the UK, le sigh. Still, amazing and worth the wait. His second album was even better. A folky, rocky, poppy amazing voice and catchy voice, it's a perfect combo. He needs a few more ballads though.

SEB makes me want to die. Bittersweet is the only properly good song she's ever done.

Β

Martina though  Independence Day is one of my fave 90s country songs but Concrete Angel is deffo her best. I always well up at the video and I rarely cry at anything

Β

Phillip is bare fit as well m8 x

28 | Olly Murs

Β

Album: Olly Murs

Songs: A Million More Years, Hand On Heart, Anywhere Else, What A Buzz, Just For Tonight

Β

One of the best talent show losers ever tbh. I really did not like him when he was on X-factor. Please Don't Let Me Go was trash but when he came out with Thinking Of Me, I took

the plunge and invested some moneys in him, loved him ever since. Not the best voice in the world, but he makes music that suits it perfectly and has yet to fail to deliver a bad

album, not that he doesn't have some dire songs, Army of Poo, looking at you.

Β

27 | Sheryl Crow

Β

Album: Detours

Songs: Tomorrow Never Dies, Waterproof Mascara, Run Baby Run, Shine Over Babylon, Love Is All There Is

Β

The first of many cases of Mamma Regina's music taste influencing me. Sheryl is an amazing singer, not a bad actress too. BIG in the 90's, like a slightly less angry Alanis Morissette, she has gone from pop rock to country pop rock, to pop to country and all of it is lush. Her latest album is one of the best country albums ever, fact. Detours however, is one of the best albums ever, fact. She also did the best Bond theme ever.

26 | Dido

Β

Album: Girl Who Got Away

Songs: End Of Night, Everything To Lose, Don't Leave Home, Don't Think Of Me, My Lover's Gone

Β

God bless Dildo. She was MASSIVE back in the early 00's, not so much now. People tend to find her boring, but I for one do not. I adore her voice and she knows how to make

songs that you fall in love with. Her latest album is a work of art and really shows what she can do. She needs to come back and slay us all again tbh.

Β

25 | Natasha Bedingfield

Β

Album: Strip Me Away

Songs: Soulmate, All I Need, Unwritten, The One That Got Away, Piece Of Your Heart

Β

Another one who used to be pretty popular but no longer. She made it big in America, abandoned the UK, soon flopped over there and is now kind of in limbo. Shame since she

always delivers with her albums, she has a lovely voice and some catchy tunes. Pocketful Of Sunshine could easily have been big over here, but alas, it never got a release. Awaiting a new album, hopefully not too much of a flop for her.

Olly >>>>>

Β

NatBed though, ew. First album was good enough but I have a real irrational dislike for her

The Saturdays the only girl group you've included?

Having scrolled through your Top 50 so far, the ones I'd most likely put in my own Top 100~ are: Steps, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, The Saturdays, Rachel Stevens and Katy Perry. I like a few of the others listed but not in an "all time faves" way.

Β

And I hope Kylie is here.......hope the forthcoming remixes help her position..........have faith..........radio still not supporting this countdown............but she could still be #1........wait and see......

24 | Maroon 5

Β

Album: Overexposed

Songs: Sad, Never Gonna Leave This Bed, Unkiss Me, Doin' Dirt, Daylight

Β

Adam Levine is a babe. A talented babe. I was never much of a fan of them until they collabed with X-tina, then I took notice of them. Adam's voice is pretty unique when set alongside most other frontmen, it's a bit marmite but I happen to love it. He can hit some incredible notes. They have gone a bit slutty with their songs, but still have some really amazing songs. Lovely.

Β

23 | Justin Timberlake

Β

Album: The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2

Songs: SexyBack, True Blood, T.K.O, LoveStoned, Tunnel Vision

Β

Such a bae. As with Maroon 5, I wasn't overly fond of him back when he first went solo and cannot remember anything to do with that group he was in. I was more into him as an actor, he's no Liev Schreiber, but he can carry a film, he's one of the leads in one of my fave movies ever, Trouble With The Curve. As for his music, he has a great voice and knows how to rock a beat, his latest albums are just incredible. Hope he hurries up with a new one. Bonus points for being one of Amy Adams' leading men.
