One Direction singers Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik may be forced to undergo a drug test before they can perform in the Philippines.

 

A local organisation - Laban ng Pamilyang Pilipino - is petitioning the Philippine government’s Bureau of Immigration asking to test the band members.

 

The group are due to play on March 21 and 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds as part of their On The Road Again tour.

 

The organisation have used an image of Zayn reportedly smoking cannabis during a trip to Peru last summer that reads “No drug test, no entry”.

 

They insist: “This is for the welfare of their fans, mostly youth”.

 

Towards the end of last year Zayn was left outraged after it was suggested substance abuse had led to him missing work commitments in the US.

 

The singer was too sick to appear on the Today show and host Matt Lauer asked his four bandmates: “There have been rumours of substance abuse, what’s going on?”

 

The band excused Zayn's absence, saying it was due to illness, but the singer was shocked by the claims.

 

Speaking to The Sun, the 1D star said: “I’m really angry and upset by what was said. I was really ill at the weekend, that’s why I couldn’t fly to America.”

 

A spokesperson for the band gave been contacted for comment.

They want to be careful out in that part of the world, they take drugs VERY seriously.

The boys have just finished their 2nd concert in Johannesburg which also were the first 2 official concerts as a 4 piece band.

Both of the nights each had a audience of 95.000 people

No shock there really! Harry does seem to be the lead singer of the group (and rightly so x)

Judging on videos/vines Liam and Niall took as much over from Zayn as Harry did even Louis did take over some verses and lol at Harry being the lead singer :P
