February 13, 201510 yr Author i've read 'back in the day' is from the first iteration of their album? trying to get the sugababes name back explains the delay and it's sensible. with their original name behind them they can still be massive: K6tEySjAYKU
February 13, 201510 yr It's been too long for me I'm over it, hearing this song just makes me want another Siobhan solo album her voice is so perfect by itself.
February 13, 201510 yr Author i don't really get the "over it" attitude, what difference is an 11 year wait to a 9 year wait exactly? if the lead single/album is amazing will you shun it due to the wait?

That tickled me, your completely right with that imo. The new track is promising enough, wouldn't say it was single worthy but still good! Excited once again :D

The difference is for 9 years it wasn't hyped up, and delayed etc. I'm not saying I won't listen to it/enjoy it, just at this point my excitement has gone, its not that hard to understand...
February 13, 201510 yr Author The difference is for 9 years it wasn't hyped up, and delayed etc. I'm not saying I won't listen to it/enjoy it, just at this point my excitement has gone, its not that hard to understand... why is the excitement gone? i don't understand. like i'm not having a go at your or anything but who listens to music based on built up hype? it's all about the songs, if you like an act enough you'll be excited whenever they release something new (unless they've released something poor). i just find it a strange approach. i haven't been particularly 'excited' or 'lost interest' in this gap, you get on with things, then they put something out with surprise and resparks your interest. their voices all sound fabulous together may i add *.*

February 13, 201510 yr I am so far beyond excited for this comeback! There have been pretty consistent rumours for a while that they were involved in a whole string of legal wranglings over everything from crowbarring the rights to the Sugababes brand from Crown Music Management to obtaining the rights to the album from Polydor. Rumour has it they parted ways and are coming back on a different label. That song list looks epic. Mainly that they've worked with Xenomania again! Would love them to do something with Richard X. Of the new material the following has been heard in some capacity (not including the newly leaked BITD): Flatline - Single Lay Down In Swimming Pools - Full Mp3 Today - Live No Regrets - Live I'm Alright - Live Boys - Live, 1min A Capella Love Me Hard - Live As for Back in the Day. I agree that it's not really single material but it'd make a wonderful album track. The vocals work beautifully on it. Just stunning. Going to give it it's own thread.
February 13, 201510 yr Hm... according to this Crown still owns the name: https://oami.europa.eu/eSearch/#details/trademarks/009079377 It might just not be updated, but it's interesting to note that they had a lot of correspondence during 2014 sent to them. You have to have an account to read said PDF files so I have no idea what it's actually saying, but something must've went down last year at least since they hadn't had any correspondence since 2011 before that. February 14, 201510 yr It looks like Crown changed their representative in 2014. They could have come to a legal licensing agreement with Crown to use the name perhaps.
