Kasabian to win please. How Haim got nominated as indie I'll never know

They're roughly as indie as everyone else in the top 10 I'd say.

Not bothered who wins out of that lot.

10 Kasabian - Eez-Eh 266

The song that returned Kasabian to the Top 40. Some people loved it. I thought Bumblebeee was infinitely more preferable but no-one nominated that...

9 Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars 268

The highest of the four nominated Coldplay tracks, this lot seem to float your boats a fair bit.

But not enough for a top 5 placing...

8 Grimes - Go 273

Grimes went mainstream with this out and out pop song then did a complete backtrack and refused to release the album.

Whatever, you lot liked this enough to send it into the Top 10.

I was going to say I was being too mainstream when I saw my two favourite ones in the top 10 leave, both Eez-Eh and A Sky Full Of Stars were in my top 10 last year, but I see the rest of the top 10 is similarly mainstream.

Go is pretty good, I think I shall want Two Weeks or Team for the win.

7 Lorde - Yellow Flicker Beat 313

The first of Lorde's two songs in the top 10 makes it appearance here. Taken from the self-curated Mockinjay soundtrack this just grazed the Top 75.

Sometimes I forget she's still only 18.

6 Jessie Ware - Tough Love 316

You lot love a bit of Jessie judging by the amount of replies in her various threads in the forum but she just misses out on a Top 5 placing.

5 Lana Del Rey - West Coast 361

So Lana doesn't win for the second despite lots of support in the forums.

The opening single from her second album campaign. Ultraviolence didn't push the bar much in terms of her sound but West Coast was pleasing enough.

4 Marina & The Diamonds - Froot 399

This song signalled the return of the prodigal daughter if the amount of hype generated here is to be believed.

Still only enough support to get #4.

3 HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind 414

The three sisters go disco to get to #3

GO LORDE.

Really good top 3 though (and #5, though I haven't heard #4) <3

I think I voted Lorde higher, but Team I think too much as 2013 and would be a weird winner, so go twigs!

Hooray for 2 of my 5 original nominations to end up top 4!

And Team & If I Could Change Your Mind were the top 2 in my fave non-top 20 hit thread so not surprising to see them high here.

I prefer Team, but FKA Twigs is from Gloucester so I'm gonna have to back her for this!

So our #2 is....

2 Lorde - Team 442

So the New Zealand starlet settles in at number 2 with a song that reached the Top 40 in February 2014.

Which means...
