What a great album, honestly I can't stop listening to it, especially track 01-07 - Cheap Thrills, Reaper, Move Your Body and Bird Set Free all deserve single treatment imo! so much more accessible than it's predecessor, wow sia you have outdone yourself

The first 7 tracks are totally spectacular. This needs to be #1 and i'm so glad it's looking like it can do it.

The vocal acrobatics in 'One Million Bullets' *.*

yes! was reading she was no.1 in the midweeks, hope she can keep it up!

Pretty bad album. No emotion and poor tracks.

How can you say that when songs like 'One Million Bullets' feature on it? That's emotion at its most beautiful and painful :snif: Granted there is less sorrow than her other albums but that doesn't have to be a bad thing!

Ridiculous! 'Broken Glass' has so much emotion in it...

Just listening to it now, couldn't agree more.

For me it's the first six tracks that are perfect as opposed to the first seven in order of favourites: Alive, Cheap Thrills, Brd Set Three, One Million Bullets, Unstoppable, Move Your Body

i just wanted to say that 'broken glass' is a pop song on a whole different level! the best powerballad since 'battlefield'. the last minute emotes so beautifully and powerfully (even with the occasionally poor diction). i don't buy leona turning this down or katy perry being offered it. If with either they must have heard it in radically different form because it's such a winner of a track.

judging it against other pop starlet records and considering it's a self-promoted pile of rejects, it's actually rather glorious. one of the best pop records i've heard in sometime. 'move your body' and 'broken glass' are killer 10/10s with lots of other 9s and 8s thrown in. what record doesn't have the odd 5?

really pleased to see such unanimous love for broken glass and move your body <3
Broken Glass is emotionless and kinda bland!

looking for a reaction!

Nope.

Bird Set Free is much better and more emotional.

Broken Glass has nothing to say.

Can we keep the personal attack to ourselves pleaze

Thanks x

I have removed the message that is seeming to be a personal attack. Please keep any squabbles out of threads not relating to the topic :)
This album just gets better and better - fell in love with Footprints, One Million Bullets and House on Fire on reaper-type of love kinda level today

Edited by Mackenzie

I bought this album yesterday and cannot stop listening! Upon my latest, this is how I'd rank the album:

01 Alive

02 Move Your Body

03 Unstoppable

04 One Million Bullets

05 Bird Set Free

06 Footprints

07 Space Between

08 Broken Glass

09 Reaper

10 Cheap Thrills

11 House on Fire

12 Sweet Desire

Sorry at 'Broken Glass' being so low before anyone rips my head off! I know for a fact that list will look completely different in like 5 listens time; there's just so much there and, like all great albums, I hear something new in a track or interoperate the meaning differently after each listen. Just keeps on giving.

I can't believe I was expecting to be disappointed with this album, nor can I believe how underwhelming I found the promo singles at first! :drama:

08 Bird Set Free

09.5 Alive

09 One Million Bullets

11 Move Your Body

10 Unstoppable

07.5 Cheap Thrills

08 Reaper

08.5 House On Fire

05 Footprints

09 Sweet Design (omg this would be a solid 10 with Bey *.* But I can see why she'd reject it, it sounds like it would fit on B-Day and she's evolved since then and assuming this was written in the past few years it'd have sounded really out of place on the self titled)

10 Broken Glass

03 Space Between

It's a shame about Footprints and Space Between, the latter is painfully dull. I still find Cheap Thrills quite lifeless, Rihanna would suit it MUCH better. The rest is pretty much all highs though, I'm still ASTOUNDED that Shakira rejected Move Your Body and Unstoppable, Sweet Design, Reaper and House On Fire would have been amazing for the artists they were intended for. Broken Glass is a monster of a song but it sounds like it was made for Sia, unless it was very different when written for Katy (if it was for her), which I assume it was as surely you'd not write a song with a double key change for Katy Perry

isn't 'cheap thrills' all a fan wants from rihanna?!! imagine assisted production from dj mustard and the video she'd create to go with it...
Cheap Thrills is very Cheers (Drink To That) and I love it, RiRi shoulda recorded it.
I can see why people would pass 'Space Between' but I absolutely love it. Similarly to 'Dressed in Black' from her previous, it wouldn't fit anywhere else on the album but it does exactly what I want from an album closer by squeezing every last bit of emotion the album can hold and leave me reflective of the whole body of work and want to listen all over again.
