April 19, 201510 yr The Diablo remix isn't very good and a bit weird so I won't be buying the CD single sadly. I don't mind it actually, I've been listening to it a few times. It's the sort of thing Capital would play on a Friday/Saturday night (oh how I wish!).

April 26, 201510 yr Physical release pushed back until next Monday for the UK. Not good considering the song is going to fall on iTunes now that Radio 2 have dropped it from their playlist. #70 on the UK Sales Chart but again absent from the official Top 100.
April 28, 201510 yr A remix EP will be released on 12 May, the week after the physical release. Hopefully these could keep 'Ghosttown' charting, but I can't imagine it'll get a Top 75 peak since the song is pretty much free-falling on iTunes now that it's been dropped from Radio 2.

April 30, 201510 yr Agreed. And 'Ghosttown' is now likely to disappear from the chart as it was #196 on yesterday's update. Would be nice if the EP and CD could see it return to the Top 200 for a couple of weeks but it would be relying pretty much only on those two things as it's only going to drop further on iTunes.

I really don't understand the point of pushing back the release, like they did with the CD, unless Madonna is planning on coming to the UK to perform and they want the release to coincide with it, but there's been no mention of any upcoming appearances.

I can only imagine that they thought spacing out the boost the song received from airplay, the physical release and digital remixes release would give the song longevity, but obviously the latter two will have barely any effect if there's no airplay. The remix EP will probably have more effect than the CD but not enough to see it return to the Top 200 come Sunday, I wouldn't have thought. Still, the song will be close to 30k after this week which isn't bad consider 'Living for Love' managed just over 40k. The remix EP is currently #44 on iTunes.

I only like the Offer Nissim Drama and Don Diablo remixes but that's two more than I liked from the 'Living for Love' Remix EP! :lol: That said, I did really like the Tracy Young remix but that was bizarrely left off despite Tracy remixing a lot of previous Madonna songs that appeared on releases. If anyone's interested, there's two exclusive remixes on TIDAL: A Paul Andrews Reconstruction Mix and RedTop’s If I Were A Carpenter Remix.
