We managed to match our personal best that Icon For Hire gave Taahino in 84 and came 14th once again! Thanks again to everyone who supported this entry throughout both the semi final and the final :heart:

||| UPDATE |||

This year saw Commander Lexa take her place as Taahino's rightful ruler. Since then changes have been made to cement our place within the alliance of the thirteen clans. Our cities have improved, our industries are thriving, Taahino's economy has never looked better. People are more patriotic and loving of one another thanks to the unity Heda Leksa has brought to us. As a symbol of our gratitude and just how much being part of the Kongeda means to the people of Taahino, a lot of our cities have now undergone a title change. Here is the new map of Taahino as well as a brief outline about each area.

Oneirozo - Our capital city remains the same. The name loosely translates to 'city of dreams'. It was titled this as it was the first town to be built when Taahino first came to be, the locals saw the potential it had and never doubted what could be achieved there. 100 years ago it was the centre of everything, our industry, our politics, our culture, our trade but now all of that has expanded across the nation. Oneirozo is Taahino's most built up city, it's massively populated and is refered to the city that never sleeps. There's always something going on, if not during business hours there's fabulous nightlife and culture to be had.

Floudonku - Is one of the smaller towns of Taahino, mostly home to those in the fishing industry. It's costal location makes it a fine place to trade, as well as it being the closest city to our border with Pupok. There's not much else to see in Floudonku, it's very much a residential area or a place to escape for those who don't like the hustle and bustle of Oneirozo. It has a small village that is still has old, original buildings and oozes local history.

Maun Gunneda - 'Gunneda Mountains' is the second of our small towns that are fairly secluded from the rest of the country. Like Floudonku it's home to those who wish to escape city life and is home to a lot of outdoors-y people as there are some stunning nature trails at the base of the mountains. There are even less locals living here that in Floudonku as it does not have a village but instead some log cabins built with the forest. There's two camp sites though so it does attract a lot of tourists who want to spend time with nature, go hikes, climb the mountains or witness the vast amount of nature that inhabits the forest.

Triianya - Is the most popular holiday nation for people visiting Taahino as it has a little bit of everything that the country has to offer. A lot of the grounders that migrated to Taahino after we joined Lexa's Kongeda settled here as it's described to hold little elements of their homes too. There's a long sandy beach that stretches for miles along the coastline, fishing at the river and a dense forest, not unlike the one at the south of the country in Maun Gunneda. It also has a busy town making it the best place to go shopping if natives don't wish to make the trip to Oneirozo.

Yorkappolis - Is the prime spot for all things music and culture. Any Taahinian person who wishes to pursue a career in music, art, theatre etc aspires to live here as it's the best place for creatives to thrive. It was the second city to be built after the capital and has always had cultured roots. It's nicknamed 'rock city' as it's most known for being home to so many rock fans. It's also home to the countries largest arena which has won awards for it's sound quality. Franklin Arena really is the ultimate venue for a lot of artists to play, not just those native to Taahino but to a lot of artists across the buzzjack globe. There's also a couple of schools and a university in Yorkappolis,as well as a shopping centre, cinema, theatre, arts centre and a museum and gallery.

Leksoncha - Is the heart of all Taahino's industry, it's not very residential at all and doesn't have much attraction except for jobs. There's also a university in Leksoncha but whilst Yorkappolis University focuses on art and literature and the likes, The University of Leksoncha is more about business, trade and all things science. Unlike Triianya the coastline by Leksoncha is filled with boats and market stalls rather than tourists. All of Taahino's factories are in Leksoncha also.

Polis

It's a strange place for a 21st century nation, it's only major building is Lexa's tower which is central to Natblida Isle. It was formerly a holiday destination before the alliance but now it's used for all our political matters and as an army training ground, Lexa also stays here on her visits as she can see the whole country from the top of her tower, apparently. The Kongeda bridge was built at the beginning of 2016 running from south Leksoncha to Polis as a symbol of the people of Taahino linking with those of the other clans of Polis, although the land has always been part of Taahino, it very much belongs to all of the clans now and is the central meeting place for all the ambassadors.

Some Taahinan history will be coming soon also ;)

I feel weird doing this and hope I don't regret doing so but I've got so many potentials that I can't even keep track so posting my main ones here, (hopefully for some opinions? :unsure:) seems like a good idea atm

I know so much pop rock :blush:

This wouldn't be complete without a rank tbh

its defo one of my faves of the bunch but I think it's probably the most hit or miss and there's not really a comfortable middle ground where it can at least Q :lol:

I didn't know Lacey Sturm had solo material :o

From taking quick snippet listens the first four sound potentially excellent. Maybe Andy Black as well.

Well I've had consistent DNQs for ages and then suddenly top 10, perhaps your run of top 15s will end and you'll get a top 5 in a similar fashion? :thinking:
Would Andy Black not get vetoed (coming from a veto expert :P), but I'd go for that if you think it wouldn't :wub:

Here's hoping Spadz :lol:

I'm not sure if Andy would get vetoed but it's probably worth a try at least I guess, I am completely stuck on which way to go this month though so any feedback is much appreciated guys, I've added a link to a surveymonkey rank thing at the bottom of the post so you can put them in order of your fave to your least if you want to :angel:

Done the Surveymonkey, have to echo the Ghost Town love *.*
Done the rank, the first two were alright but maybe not something I'd point, but the Openside song sounds like something I could give a decent amount of points to :cheer: I think HEIRSOUND is giving me some Tonight Alive vibes also so I'd probably point that too. Ghost Town is quite good even if it is male rock :kink:

as apposed to 'female rock' as that's totally a separate genre.... :rolleyes:

:lol: I just prefer female a lot more :P

Have done a ranking on the SurveyMonkey as well anyway cos why not :P But:

'Alive' > 'Spark' > 'Feels Like Forever' > 'We Don't Have To Dance' > 'My Own' > 'Worth It' > 'Mountain'

Most of these pretty much fit the standard Taahino niche which is good for getting another reliable top 20 I guess! (Actually the one that doesn't sound like a standard Taahino entry is the one I liked the least :kink:) However those top 2 in particular I think are better than your usual entries for me. 'Alive' has a great chorus, which I often feel is lacking from your entries and lets them down a bit. I feel like I already know 'Spark' really well from it being played on plug.dj, would be a very good choice as well anyway, reminds me a little bit of Muse in the instrumental!

Have done the ranking for you

Ghost Town what a beast of a song and also liked Herisound I think them two and also can see Openside and Tigress doing well :o Hope this helps :D

Voted. 'Alive' is MILES better than the others imo, though I think you'll have varying levels of success with the rest. (except for maybe 'Mountain'.)

BJSC 87 ||| GHOST TOWN - SPARK

That's right, we've gone with the slightly heavier sounding rock band that is Ghost Town. They've been on my radar for quite some time now, I first heard of them via a Kerrang 'One's to watch' show or something like that, they're signed to Fuelled By Ramen (Paramore, Against The Current, Panic! At The Disco etc) so really do have the makings of a solid rock band. They're a trio from California, described as an 'electronic rock band' but tbh their more recent stuff sounds more grungy than electronic, although there's some really strong dubstep influences in their earlier material. Spark is by far their most anthemic song though and has a pretty cool video which is why I went for it.

*Edit*

This also came out top in the ranking... Ghost Town > Lacey Sturm > Tigress/Openside > Andy Black > Heirsound > HalfNoise
