It could have made all the difference to her total and possible final position if she had been on this Saturday just gone instead, however what is great about the appearance is that her second-week sales/position should still be impressive. I think Rebel Heart will have more longevity than MDNA.

Madonna debuting at #1 was pretty much a given so I too think it was a good idea to save some promotion for the second week. I'd like to think Rebel Heart could hold up better than MDNA - choosing a song like 'Ghosttown' for the second single and moving on to it quite quickly was a great move to help the album stabalise - but I'm not going to make any expectations.
