And now you can boast a photo with Eurovision winner's wax statue taken 6 years before the win :D

I've already been showing it around work, everyone is mystified as to how I knew who he was six years ago.

I did. They didn't believe me -_-

UK chart peaks for Melodifestivalen entries:

1974 - ABBA - Waterloo - #1

1999 - Charlotte Nilsson - Take Me To Your Heaven - #20

2007 - The Ark - The Worrying Kind - #121

2008 - BWO - Lay Your Love On Me - #69 (3rd place)

2009 - Malena Ernman - La Voix - #138

2011 - Eric Saade - Popular - #76

2012 - Loreen - Euphoria - #3

2013 - Robin Stjernberg - You - #72

2014 - Sanna Nielsen - Undo - #40

2015 - Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes - #11

When will other foreign national finals produce a UK hit single every year of the decade to date? Even the UK entry hasn't charted in the top 100 every year

It's amazing when you look at it like that! I think 'Why Am I Crying' sneaked into the top 200 officially too after being used on that TV show that I forget the name of.

J'amie  Yet another reason to love that show.

Ah yes, anyone know where exactly that peaked?

It's pretty crazy to think that only Blue and Molly managed the top 40 out of our own entries in the past five years, despite both having strong Radio 2 airplay.

Yet Sweden's entries have produced three top 40 hits, it shows the complete absurdity of the selection process for the UK entries, nobody is interested or invested in our entries at all, we'd all rather just buy Sweden's

I read somewhere recently it was #197 but I'm not sure where to find a source, maybe I'll find it in the chart forum somewhere.
Melodifestivalen could easily just hold selection for like 10 countries in Europe. 1st place will obviously represent Sweden, 2nd place will represent Lithuania or something, 3rd place = Estonia, etc. Coz really they are more likely to succeed than terminal crap some countries put out in their NFs. :')

I definitely think the UK should draw up a contract to use the MF 2nd placer each year.

Instead of Daz, Scooch, Andy, Jade, Josh, Blue, Engelbert, Bonnie, Molly and Electro Velvet we could have had BWO, Andreas Johnson, Sanna Nielsen, Caroline Af Ugglas, Salem Al Fakir, Danny x 2, Yohio, Ace Wilder and Jon Henrik. At least seven solid 10/10 tracks in that lineup *.*

Caroline, Salem, Ace and Jon Henrik would've been incredible entries!
I'd rather have Still In Love With You than Jag ar fri
I'd rather keep Bonnie over Yohio though x

Yohio is the only one that isn't at least 8/10. But then Believe In Me wasn't exactly a masterpiece.

I'd rather keep Bonnie over Yohio though x

YOU BLOODY WHAT?

That would have been utterly amazing (ironically not the Danny entries) for most years, YOHIO would have been amazing in the media. I think 'I Can' would be the only UK entry I wouldn't want to swap out for the corresponding MF 2nd placer.

Månseses Album is now online. Hopefully it's good.
