It's a Wednesday release, maybe that's why.

Yeah I know, obviously its got no chance of getting there. I haven't actually heard the song yet, but P Money has got some decent songs (my favourite being his remix of Flux Pavilion's I Can't Stop).

So, hopefully it does well but I think Skepta's new song has a better chance of charting higher tbh.

Its been pushed back to Monday 23rd

Good to see SOAK entering the top 100, 'Sea Creatures' is a great song and a former Unknown Pleasures entry of mine (albeit in a remixed form which is rather different from the original). Never really expected her to make any impact on the chart even with her Sound of 2015 longlisting but this better than nothing.

79. Meghan Trainor - Dear Future Husband

I really hope this manages to go top 10, the video impact has had a great effect and once airplay kicks in it really could smash.

180. Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe

200. Carly Rae Jepsen - I Really Like You

oh good to see Lamborghini actually not getting released midweek, it should definitely make the top 40 now :D (could even push for top 20?)
This is a UK-specific phenomenon and iTunes is a global company, I doubt they care that much / at all really about UK sales. I think they just realised that pre-orders of albums lead to their charts being very unrepresentative at the start of every release week (worldwide, not just in the UK) with the top end of the chart comparing one-day sales of older albums with weeks or even months of built-up sales from newer albums, which then inevitably drop off at speed. (They've probably only changed it for singles as well because it was easier to change their rules for all releases than for just albums). And the situation with instant grats having album pre-orders lumped on doesn't really need explaining as to why it's misleading and misrepresentative

I was thinking that but surely giving brand new releases (which is exactly what customers want) the least amount of visibility only effects the sales that iTunes receive. I'm sure they wanted to change the rules because it was misleading but they're a business afterall and want to make the most money possible and this isn't the way to go about it. Especially since they don't update their front pages with new releases until almost 48 hours later.

Then I started thinking the sameas scratchy23 that it's a move to push OA/OS but if they want that they need to sort out that if you do release immediately then you don't show up in the feed for a day anyway.

I expect you're probably right about them just changing it because it doesn't show what is popular now but it's a bit of an odd move and it makes me sad because new releases are going to take a while to get up :(

Dear Future Husband to be a top 10 hit for sure, possibly top5.

1047. Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes

1130. Electro Velvet - Still in Love with You

The Swedish song that only a handful of the UK public know higher than a newly-released pre-order of the UK entry that has had promo appearances on TV and Radio! :D

I'm amazed that either have shown up at all. I hope streaming doesn't prevent Heroes from missing the top 40 or something in May, Sanna was incredibly lucky to scrape in with Undo in the end.
Carly Rae isn't out for 5 weeks, surefire #1, I think.
I never expected to see Carly Rae Jepsen in with even a chance of having a hit again, if it happens it will be an unexpected surprise.

Surely it's no longer unexpected? :)

25. Iggy Azalea - Trouble (feat. Jennifer Hudson)

Staying stable today following yesterday's TOTD boost :D

Surely it's no longer unexpected? :)

I was thinking the same thing. Being top #200 5 weeks before release shouts number 1 to me, it hasn't even picked up much airplay yet.(which it will)

Bloodstream already top 90.. with the Remix version.. and the video will be here this week... and another version in the top 30... I guess another number 1.

100. Years & Years - Worship

The pre order track... It's amazing.

Surely it's no longer unexpected? :)

Given its flop in the US it would be. I'm not expecting #1 yet even with good pre-orders.
