#endflynnondaracism2k16

This was miles better than 'Gee' at least. :'(

Gee is wonderful tho :( So I am happy that Q'd

But yes stop this #EndFlynnondaRacism2k16

It didn't make my top 10 but I don't understand how it did so badly, it's one of the better k-pop entries we've had recently. Definitely the Flynnonda racism in effect :|

Thanks Dan for the words. I would have loved to have Q'D with it but :(

Shame you DNQ'D too (I personally wasn't massive on it iirc but I thought in such a dance heavy semi you would sail through :o)

BJSC Spin Off - Reinvention

PostModernJukebox ft Ashley Stroud - Fancy

Meet PostModernJukebox, a American rotating music collection from arranger and pianist 'Scott Bradee'. They hail from New York and they have covered songs such as Meghan Trainor's 'All About That Bass', Gaga's 'Bad Romance' and Madonna's 'Like A Prayer' and reimagined it.

My Potentials - 87

1. Wyvern Lingo - Letters To Willow

Karen Cowley, Caoimhe Barry and Saoirse Duane are Irish three piece alt-pop called 'Wyvern Lingo', hailing from County Wicklow in Ireland. They beautifully blend Pop and even use their influences of rock and R 'n' B to bring something unique to the musical plate. 'Letters To Willow' shows this perfect with a catchy as hell chorus all three women's voices blend well together. Will they be Flynnonda's entry for 87?

2. Our Last Night - "Diamonds" ft. Luke Holland

Next up we have American post hardcore rock band, Our Last Night. Out of all their songs this is the one I have clicked with the most, so rocky and a catchy song. The Song features Luke Holland, their friend and fellow Drummer for the song and video. Could these lads be rocking it out for Flynnonda?

3. Beaty Heart - Flora

A slice of South London indie goodness for my third potentials. This is the track that brought my attention to them and recently I have had a re-kindled moment with it. Its really light indie goodness. The Flynnondian people have responded well to this but could it be the entry for next month?

4. Young Franco - Close 2 U Ft. JOY (Luke Million Remix)

Brisbane born Producer and DJ - Young Franco, has teamed up with fellow Brisbane artisté, singer JOY. Which has been remixed by fellow Aussie Luke Million. An all australian get together The song is so feel good, sultry due to the vocals and really makes you toe tap. Literally only been on my radar since today basically but it made me toe tap so much due to the dance that I had to have it as a potential. It has been a while since Flynnonda have turned to dance so could this be it?

5. The Academic - Mixtape 2003

Another Irish band this time hailing from Mullingar. Similar to Beaty Heart I heard this song on the radio and fell in love with it. However, this is more feel good indie pop than Beaty Heart which I would say is more the softer side to indie music. I would say The Academic is a lot like Circa Waves/Catfish and The Bottlemen in a way. This last potential be the one to fly the metaphorical flag for Flynnonda?

Feel free to give feed back and rank them 1-5 any little helps.

'Diamonds' >> 'Mixtape 2003' > 'Close 2 U' >> 'Letter To Willow' > 'Flora'

'Diamonds' is a good rock song and definitely my favourite here, I think it would be a qualifier unless it gets a really bad semi! Like I said to mdh, I think if that's your favourite you should probably go with it anyway. 'Close 2 U' is probably the safest choice here but a very nice song that I also think should qualify (but I'm a bit hesitant to say this after your last 2 entries somehow fell so far short). 'Mixtape 2003' is good too but think it would very likely be another DNQ. Not too keen on the last two.

(last set of potentials I'm listening to tonight - I'll get to Addy's and Math's tomorrow ~)

I can see what you mean by Our Last Night's song thats why I am hesistant to sent it kind of in case of wrong semi. Hmm I can see that with Academic slightly. Anyway Thanks for you opinions, any bad or good opinions welcome.

Letter To Willow >>> Mixtape 2003 >>>>>> Diamonds > Close 2 U >> Flora

Definitely go Letter To Willow, very unique and I think it could have wide appeal - it appeals to a bit of pop, a bit of indie, a bit of folk/country. Mixtape 2003 is a really nice indie-rock song, not too dissimilar to the likes of COASTS who I loved last year or whenever Harmonica sent them.

The other 3 don't grab me at all but I agree with Bre that Close 2 U is probably the safest bet for a Q of all 5 but then a low placing in the final. Letter To Willow and Mixtape are perhaps riskier but have more of a chance of getting a higher placing than the rest if they do appeal and qualify.
