Sweet Female Attitude - Flowers

Peak: 02

Chart Run: 2-4-8-9-10-17-21-27-39-49-68-72-(x)-62-99 (14 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: 8 Days A Week (#43)

Commentary: This is actually very good. One of the better garage songs I've heard. I'm shocked their follow up did so bad. Wikipedia tells me their manager is one half of The Ting Tings.

Rating: 7.5/10

Commentary: Alright, but I imagine it's going to be very forgettable. Sounds very 2000-esque.

Chart Run: 18-35-49-68 (4 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: What's A Girl To Do (#61)

Commentary: This is absolutely dreadful. I guess it's trying to be a novelty hit. I can see why comments are disabled on the video.

2nd Highest Hit: The Art Of Driving (#53)

Commentary: Really enjoying this. Maybe it's because it is extremely different to any other song so far. Very chilled and laid back.

Only 5/10 for 'Airwave' ???

That is a proper classic, really love it!

Some of the comments on the video said it was a grower so who knows I might enjoy it if I listen to it some more.

Mandy Moore - Candy

Peak: 06

Chart Run: 6-13-25-32-42-44-50-61-53-67-75-64-57-89 (9 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: I Wanna Be With You (#21)

Commentary: Just sounds like a generic pop hit from the time. She obviously was aware of this as she said ' I should give a refund to anyone who bought my first record '. It's not great but I wouldn't go that far. :D

Precocious Brats ft Kevin & Perry - Big Girl

Peak: 16

Chart Run: 16-21-34-48 (4 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: This is terrible. From the soundtrack of Kevin And Perry Go Large, which is a film I actually have seen. Unfortunately, the song is not even fun in a novelty way.

Commentary: This doesn't stand out from any of the other similar songs that have went before it in this countdown. This is middle of the pile, ok but not amazing.

Heather Small - Proud

Peak: 16

Chart Run: 16-23-34-45-60-(x)-33-54-71 (8 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Holding On (#58)

Commentary: This is one I knew but never knew who by. I'm shocked it only reached 16 in the charts, it sounds like a massive smash. A lot of London 2012 vibes coming from this song.

Southside Spinners - Luvstruck

Peak: 09

Chart Run: 81-(x)-9-14-23-37-53-59-75 (13 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: N/A

Commentary: From the album '30 Best Trance Anthems Ever'. No pressure there then. Also off the Kevin & Perry soundtrack, well it's much better than 'Big Girl' anyway  . It could do without the moaning though.

'Flowers' and 'Candy' are both favourites there, it's a shame 'I Wanna Be With You' stalled at #21

I did like that Flowers song but I'm not so keen on Candy.

I think Proud & Rise have been my favourites so far.

On an unrelated note I enjoyed the top 10 hits since 2010 review you did. Are you planning on updating that again any time?

I still have the Pokemon soundtrack with "Don't Say You Love Me" on it  Very glad to see it was somewhat of a hit.

I remember quite liking the Pokemon Soundtrack album when I was young. Especially the random dancey remix of the Pokemon Theme Song.

Novy vs Eniac - Pumpin

Chart Run: 99-(x)-19-43-71-(x)-95 (5 weeks)

2nd Highest Hit: Superstar (#32)

Commentary: This is for Eniac as Novy later had a later top 10 as Tom Novy. This is not bad but it's not one I'm going to go back to again.

2nd Highest Hit: I Sings (#32)

Commentary: Well I definitely know this one. I thought this way by someone really popular. This actually holds up really well. Especially for what is essentially a gospel song mixed with R&B.
