Comment: I used to hate this song when I was younger but it is sounding nowhere near as bad as I remember it. Maybe it's just nostalgia. Still don't like the pretty pretentious lyrics, made worse by her recent hilarious meltdown.

Comment: The chorus of this is catchy and the verses are decent enough but it's missing something that would make me a big fan. Still one of the better songs I've listened to today.

Comment: Apparently he made this after deeming most England songs were "lousy". I don't know how he describes this one. I get there was a bit of buzz in the air for the 2006 World Cup after a decent Euro 2004 but did we really have to buy this rubbish.

Comment: 2006 was a really bad year for World Cup songs. This makes you wish you were listening to 3 Lions, Vindaloo, World In Motion or even Shout. Not as horrible as the last one so it's earned a 3.

Comment: This is by far the best song of today. This is perfectly summery and sounds 10x better after the two dreadful World Cup songs. One of the worst music videos I've ever seen though however.

Comment: This felt so much bigger than just scrapping the top 20. Another song that's very memorable but it's not a song I particularly want to listen to again.

it feels a bit weird calling Rogue Traders one-hit wonders, but that's because I was in Australia around their time and for a few years they were quite big.

Voodoo Child remains their best song though so yay for that being the one to crossover.

Rogue Traders also have their own TV series with Matt Allright. :)

“Voodoo Child” owes a huge amount to Elvis Costello’s “Pump It Up” but I do love it.

I've never heard another Rogue Traders song before but Wiki says they had 7 top 20's in Australia so I can see why it's must be strange.

 I watch Rogue Traders when nothing else's on.

I listened to the Elvis Costello track and I didn't release how much Rogue Traders sampled that.

yep, as well as 'Voodoo Child' I remember 'Way To Go', 'Watching You' and 'I Never Liked You' all of which were top 10s in Australia.

I also liked their song 'In Love Again' but that never charted (though looking at wikipedia I see it did chart at #20 in the Australian digital tracks chart, so maybe it was disqualified for not having a physical release)
