April 16, 201510 yr And there ends Maroon 5's chances at the top spot and sadly Ellie's (  ) also. Ariana's One Last Time is doing better than I expected. It would be such a shame if she didn't release Be My Baby as a single release.
April 16, 201510 yr Was a bit confused at how Thinking Out Loud overtook Earned It, and now the Billboard site has updated, and Earned It has a gain in performance, Thinking Out Loud doesn't, now even more confused :P On the other hand: Nice to see Lean On is close on the bubbling under chart, DJ Snake to get 3 debuts in 3 weeks? :D Just snuck in at #100 ^_^
April 16, 201510 yr 'Uptown Funk' prevented from matching the weeks at #1 record then, hooray! I can see 'See You Again' staying at #1 for nearly as long as well now though  Good to see WALK THE MOON making the top 10. Hope it can do the same in the UK.
April 16, 201510 yr Author Chart HighlightsWiz Khalifa's "See You Again" dethrones Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!" after 14 weeks, keeping the latter in a 7-way tie for the second-longest #1 run of all time. "SYA" is Wiz's second #1 (his first was "Black and Yellow" in 2011) and featured singer Charlie Puth's first. The song spends a second week atop Digital Songs with 464,000 sold; vaults to #1 on Streaming Songs after the release of its video; and debuts at #1 on On-Demand Songs, the first song to do so since the chart debuted in 2012. Additionally, "SYA"'s parent soundtrack Furious 7 tops the Billboard 200, giving it command of both the albums and singles chart. The last such occurrence was in 2003, when the 8 Mile soundtrack and Eminem's "Lose Yourself" reigned both charts concurrently. (Expect that to happen more often with the new Billboard 200 methodology.)Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" moves up two spots to #4, becoming his first top-5 hit. The track makes its pop radio debut this week at #40.Walk the Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" becomes the band's first top-10 hit, moving up three to #9. The song is the first alternative radio #1 to hit the top 10 since Bastille's "Pompeii" about a year ago. It climbs to #4 on Digital Songs this week with 136,000 sold, and it's looking to pass 1,000,000 in the coming week.Further Down: Omarion earns his third top-20 hit (and first in 8 years) with "Post to Be", as featured artists Chris Brown and Jhené Aiko earn their 22nd and first, respectively; Andy Grammer leaps into the top 40 for the first time with "Honey, I'm Good."; Fifth Harmony and Kid Ink notch their second top-40s each with "Worth It".
