I've always kept an eye out for Rachel since Freeze entered the fantastic '1000 Ships' into BJSC, and her new single 'Fight Song' is starting to see quite a lot of success! It's already in the top 40 in Australia and New Zealand and has just entered the US Billboard Hot 100 (and is about to enter the US iTunes top 20).

I love this song so much, so uplifting and anthemic!

It is available to pre-order in the UK with a release date of July 5th and features an extra track called 'Lone Ranger' which you can listen to below:

She performed Fight Song this morning on Good Morning America and the song is surging now on iTunes in the US, already up to #5. Pretty impressive considering it doesn't have much radio airplay yet outside the HAC format.
Love her, 'Be Here' is a lovely little pop album so seeing her back and smashing is very lovely. Can't quite believe she's sitting in the upper echelons of the US chart but it is a good song to do it with.

Beautiful video. I can't believe how well this is doing on iTunes with such little airplay. It's climbed to #09 on USA iTunes and should climb to #08 soon, if this manages to get top 10 officially I hope that Capital support 'Fight Song' because it's done very well Worldwide.

I can't understand the success of this at all. It sounds really dated and is so run of the mill, something Kelly Clarkson or Pink would have as an album track and nothing more.
That's exactly how I feel about it. And for those reasons I do *like* it, but that's about all, there's nothing that makes it stand out as a big pop song, or innovative, very strange breakout hit for something that isn't good for its genre.
Yeah, I agree with Jack/Robot. I wouldn't turn it off if it came on and I like it in a feel-artificially-good-about-myself-for-three-minutes kind of way, but then Kelly's "Invincible" fills that role better.
I actually adore this. It just sounds so big, enpowering and anthemic to me. I don't get the indifference to it.

Does anyone else think this would serve POWER at the Eurovision? I really get Euro-anthem vibes from it (especially with the whole building bridges theme this year)

I loved the song on first listen, it's still playable now but i skip occasionally, I just think it's a cute bop

I agree that it sounds very Pink, it reminds me a lot of "F***in' Perfect" moreso than other songs of the same ilk.

But I'm very much with Tim, I think it is a big pop song and very anthemic and uplifting. Obsessed

It's such an upbeat and feel good pop song.

I think it's incredibly relateable so many people and I can understand why it's doing so well worldwide. I do think she will be a one hit wonder though.
