We could be sat here in 10 years bemoaning the lack of English left backs and yearning for the days that the likes of Bertrand couldn't even make the squad.

If it's a case of keeping Stones and Chambers in the Under-21s then fair enough though. We don't exactly need to exert ourselves in these games.

Predictions for tonight then? I'm going for a solid 3-0, but all the goals in the second half. We normally flatter to decieve in these games and Lithuania are no mugs.

The rate he's going, Harry Kane could stand for Prime Minister and win

Joking aside, its hard to find anybody who dislikes him so fair play to him.

Role on Ireland Poland on Sunday at Landsdown - full house expected!!
Danny Welbeck is the Ed Miliband of football. Now top scorer in European qualifying with 6 in 5.

I do like Kane, but I find the media's pushing of him as the saviour of English football a bit off-putting. He's a good player though, and suited to the way Hodgson sets his teams up.

Welbz and Sterling were great last night. However, it was no real test.

I was only half-watching the match last night but, it's the first I've heard of Harry Kane and he looks seriously impressive. Although I hope the media storm that's going to follow him now doesn't get to his head.

Obviously we're having a very easy ride and we'll have to be ready for that, despite the easiness of our group it's somewhat hard to believe it's only us, Slovakia, Israel and Czech Republic still with a 100% record.

Quite, not teams you'd expect! We're also highest scoring team in Euro Qualifying. All sounds impressive at this stage of course...

Israel and the Czech Republic have now both lost their 100% records.

I remember Wales started really strongly in Euro 2004 qualifying - top after half the games and even beat Italy 2-1. However, they lost twice to Serbia-Montenegro, lost 4-0 in Milan to finish second and lost narrowly in the play-offs to an average Russian team.

I'd preach caution. Great to see them doing well though

And their star player actually cares about Wales as well.

I think they'll qualify, this is their best team in donkeys.

Are you talking about Giggs? He didn't play friendlies, but played all the qualifiers as captain didn't he?

I think Bale does lift Wales up a level though, a fantastic player for them.

Gibraltar's first competitive international goal! Against Scotland! :D

(but fair play to the Scots, they're also doing fairly well this time, think we're going to have quite a few Home Nations in the competition)

Wales look likely to qualify and may even finish top if Belgium don't get their skates on. England are obviously through. After that I'd probably give the best chance to Northern Ireland, given that ROI and Scotland are both suffering from how well Poland are doing and chances are that only one of them will make the playoffs. Either will fancy their chances over two legs against pretty much anyone, though.
