It's been revealed by The Mirror that THREE members of five-piece girl group The Saturdays are launching solo careers. More exactly, Una, Mollie and Vanessa, who all have been in separate studios working on their own music.

While the girls are hoping to release
their new solo material by the end of the year (2015)
, they’re each going for a very different sound.

Irish songbird
Una
is the closest to signing a record deal and has been honing an acoustic, country sound with her guitar and songwriting skills.

Pop princess
Mollie
has been polishing off a disco vibe with an 80s feel and a big Kylie Minogue influence. She is close behind Una in securing record label backing.

Meanwhile,
Vanessa
is experimenting with an R&B feel, inspired largely by Rihanna. She is trying to find edgy tracks that show off her impressive vocal range.

Well, we've known this for ages, but it seems to be shaping up and more sources are starting to say the same story. To be quite honest, only the girls seem to be lying to the fans.

What is interesting, however, is that it's been revealed that
The Saturdays are still signed to Polydor.

An insider tells us:
“Una, Mollie and Vanessa are all really excited and a bit nervous about releasing their solo material, but it’s been a long time in the pipeline.

“The girls are still a band, but they’re all happy to work on their own solo projects. It means there’s no animosity or frustration between them – it’s a set-up which works really well.”

Yes, I wait good pop music.

Most possible Una's album has a bigger potential for my taste, but Molly has some chances too.

If Sarah Harding will release solo album in this year, it seems as the best year of pop music albums for very long period.

Really I thought I'd be Crushed at the prospect of the end of them but I'm not. We've had 7 glorious years with them and I suppose that their solo stuff is just a continuation of that journey. HUZZAH

Vanessa solo material! *.* Guess Rochelle wont be dropping Python anytime soon then :(

I'm most looking forward to Vanessa's R&B route. Not here for acoustic country or disco - sorry Molluna.

Obviously Rochelle and Frankie are going to be starting another group together, which is why they haven't been mentioned! :P :smoke:

i must say that face-wise the first photo is the best one yet for mollie

OH MY DAYSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

In all honesty, I can't see either of them shifting any albums. Not even if Frankie was to go solo (which she won't). I'd like to think Una would smash, but not with country she won't (as much as I'd like for that genre to bleed into the UK market at some point). Mollie needs to avoid that sound at ALL costs. Look at where Kylie is at now... and that's long after she's been "established"... Vanessa's got potential, but just depends on what sort of R&B she goes for. Hopefully something DJ Mustard-lite!

Una going country is probably going to be the death of me. How tragic.

Some """insider""" on Popjustice pretty much revealed that the whole "80s disco sound" was a just early and broad idea at the start of the project, but judging by the producers she's been working with recently, it will mostly be dance-pop.

What I'm most excited about, though, is that it seems like they are all trying to release stuff
late this year.
I mean, that's incredible considering they don't have any label yet, although 2/3 of them are close to getting one.

'late this year' pretty much everyone who says that ends up taking another year, unless they're very in demand. I hope I'm proven wrong.

I hope all albums actually happen tbh, as much as I want them as a group it would be incredibly interesting to see if any of them can pursue a successful solo career. Not that age has anything to do with it majorly but I do think Vanessa will fare the best at 25 and with by far the best voice in the group, plus she's totally adorable. However Mollie and Una are more popular, especially with Una in Ireland.

I hope Vanessa's album is kind of less Rihanna and more Emeli Sande though, I hope Mollie creates a Kylie/Britney vibe meets Robyn whilst Una can strum a ukulele and sing in five different languages. I'm so happy for this new information and hope I'm not getting too hyped.

Mollie should look at Dignity, Come and Get It and through in a splash of Guilty Pleasure and a touch of State of Mind, then sex it with On Your Radar to have 2015's most needed album.
