Any reason why when I put a ! in the subtitle of my thread and publish it replaces with a '#' ?

That happened to me once this week too! Actually I think it replaced '!' with '&', but I just edited the subtitle and it was fixed.

I've tried it several times though and it still won't show properly :|

I assume this happens because it converts special characters (including '!' for some reason) to '__;' style encoding, but your subtitle is too long so it cuts the last one off, leaving just the '&' from the start, like how your display name is truncated to 'Šþinniŋğ Ŧř&' on the home/forum pages. Definitely not explained well but I hope that makes some sense

(In other words, try shortening your description and see if that solves it)

Thanks for the explanation Rush :D You did explain it well :kink:

This has been randomly happening in my posts a lot recently, sometimes a random letter or symbol gets corrupted and replaced with '%_' or something. I just edit it back and it sticks but it's rather annoying especially as it tends to be in long posts so quite difficult to immediately spot.
