April 9, 20169 yr More tickets were made available yesterday. Grand Final's already sold out, Jury and Family Final still on sale - bargains at about 14 pounds each but listed as in a "Listening Section". Does that mean you won't actually be able to see the stage and just hear the entire thing?
April 15, 20169 yr The official album is now out in iTunes! @Billy I had 'listening section' seats in 2013 and couldn't see anything unless the acts walked out onto the central stage they had that year. However there were screens up for those of us in seats like that to watch it and the atmosphere was still fantastic, well worth paying a few quid for anyway.
April 15, 20169 yr NHS Choir are releasing an album...(which, let's face it, will probably go to #1) that includes a cover of Love Shine A Light *.* http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/n...t-album__14592/ And here's a video of them performing this modern day hymn in a church: BYdErvsBRrk
April 15, 20169 yr Author Haven't had chance to listen to the official album in full yet but regarding versions they are all as we expect (as far as I know) except for Iceland which for some reason has the second of the three versions we heard (the one that appeared briefly on the official video before being replaced with the one with extra "Hey!"s), Bosnia's new version didn't make it, Belarus' newest version didn't make it but Slovenia's new version did make it. Also there is a slightly revamped version of Belgium that did make it. Top 10 on UK iTunes at the moment, fabulous! :D
April 16, 20169 yr Author Various preview shows are happening around Europe tonight. Excluding Agnete, Bulgaria won out of a random list of entries in Norway, and very comfortably indeed (like 46 for Poli versus 30 points in second place or something). Malta won the Icelandic preview show which was between the second half of semi one (therefore beating Greta), The Netherlands won the first half of semi one in their first preview show. And excluding Jamie-Lee, The Netherlands also won the first German preview show a few days ago. So success for Bulgaria, Malta and especially The Netherlands in the preview shows so far.
April 17, 20169 yr Been listening to the songs non stop today at work until I was practically sick of them all and i finally felt that Eurovision is so close ;___;
April 20, 20169 yr Gina Dirawi will be presenting Sweden's (12) points at Eurovision <3 She should really be presenting part of the actual show imo too but...
April 21, 20169 yr Woop! Got my Fan Accreditation approved by the EBU. International Delegation this year as Portugal stayed out. I'm ready to party with the stars in Stockholm! :cheer:
April 21, 20169 yr Author Portugal have become the second country to confirm provisional participation in 2017, following Estonia, and will also be broadcasting this year's contest despite this no longer being a requirement to participating the following year as it was a few years ago. http://wiwibloggs.com/2016/04/21/portugal-...on-2017/138371/
April 21, 20169 yr Wonderful news. Hopefully next year I'll get to wave my flag proudly (if they don't botch up the national selection with poor songs again).
April 26, 20169 yr Saw on instagram earlier than Måns has been recording station announcements for the Stockholm metro for Eurovision Woop! Got my Fan Accreditation approved by the EBU. International Delegation this year as Portugal stayed out. I'm ready to party with the stars in Stockholm! :cheer: Mine, for UK got rejected. Shitbags.
April 26, 20169 yr Mine, for UK got rejected. Shitbags. Apparently it's super hard to get UK accreditation cuz there's too many gays people applying. When I apply they always ask if I want to submit via UK or Portugal (or International this year~) and I never pick the UK simply because there are virtually no Portuguese fans that apply for it. I was lucky Australians have their own delegation this year. :lol:
April 27, 20169 yr There's nowhere obvious to put this but I've only just seen the UK televote for Eurovision 2003: Ireland = 86,653 Sweden = 41,099 Austria = 40,521 Turkey = 37,280 Norway = 31,050 Belgium = 30,631 Germany = 29,706 Estonia = 26,563 Poland = 25,972 The Netherlands = 24,269 Greece = 24,027 Russia = 23,497 Iceland = 23,333 Romania = 17,957 Malta = 16,763 Spain = 16,131 Cyprus = 15,892 Latvia = 11,344 Portugal = 10,057 Israel = 9,415 Croatia = 8,762 France = 7,244 Ukraine = 6,528 Slovenia = 5,976 Bosnia Herzegovina = 3,845 Does anyone know how more than half a million televotes in total compares to the figures these days in the UK? Also interesting to note that Russia were less than 1,000 votes away from getting points from us and 6,000 extra UK votes would have given them 4 points and enough to win! To this day I don't really understand how TATU missed our votes, I'm pretty sure All The Things She Said was #1 on the UK YTD chart at this point! I guess because it's in Russian but then a different/imaginary language didn't stop Austria and Belgium scoring highly in our vote!

April 29, 20169 yr Author Haven't had a chance to look properly yet but Marjetka from Maraaya is chairing the Slovenian jury too! Also Kejsi Tola is on the Albanian jury. Love the fact Spain have forced all their national final losers bar Maria Isabel to be on their jury :heehee:
May 1, 20169 yr Author Apparently Agnes has somehow managed to bag herself an interval act slot in the final to premiere her new single, I guess we shall wait and see if that is true! The kids version of Heroes performed in Melodifestivalen has also been confirmed, most likely to open the first semi-final.
May 1, 20169 yr Agnes was also an interval act in Malmo, in Semi 2 I guess as I remember seeing her live. SVT really love her, I expect they've been trying to entice her back to Melodifestivalen ever since 2009 so this is the next best thing. Edited May 1, 20169 yr by gooddelta
May 1, 20169 yr Author I remember BBC Three decided to show one of their own VTs instead of Darin and Agnes and upon saying "now we shall hand you back to Agnes" we got treated to a whole final 5 seconds of her performance. :angry:
