How does this exist? What has happened to Ivi's left foot? In what world does this look like an adequate representation of what it's like to perform at Eurovision?

The Tele2 arena is being used to stage Eurovision: The Party, hosted by Sanna Nielsen. It'll be screening the grand final live, along with a host of Swedish Eurovision/Melfest stars performing, including Carola, Loreen and Danny Saucedo. Sweden's jury points are being revealed from their too so it's likely Sanna will be the Swedish spokesperson this year.

 

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am UK time so if anyone is in Stockholm for Eurovision but hasn't got grand final tickets, this is the place to be!!

I don't have a final ticket so that's really tempting. Especially as I'll be at the jury final.

At this point, is there somewhere I can get HQ versions of the final versions of all the songs? Y/N?

Not quite all of them, some still haven't been released onto iTunes but it is a very small majority. The official download should be with us in 8 days time anyway!

 

News today is that in the televote reveal at the end, places 11 to 26 will be automatically shown with only the top 10 being read out by Petra and Mans. I wasn't expecting them to do a full run through from 26th as that would be quite harsh on the first few, but I'd have liked at least the top 15 really. Hopefully they won't all be added to the scoreboard at once and we get at least 5 seconds to process each one.

It can be quite confusing following the voting when points 1-7 get automatically added to the scoreboard, so I dread to think what it'll be like if they add 16 sets of televote scores at once, especially when the majority of casual viewers won't have a clue what's going on with two sets of points being awarded this year.

I imagine that's been brought in to soften the effect of 'haha you got zero pints from the televote' *cough*UK*cough* and so nobody gets humiliated with a camera on their face (although Christer was probably planning on that originally knowing how MF works). I don't think only announcing the top 10 is needed AS WELL as the juries only announcing the 12 points but I guess if it works out as being to quickly paced then I guess next year they can slow it down in one of the legs of voting.

The positions 26-11 will most likely be announced faster than the top-10, to build up suspense and keep a good pace. The exact presentation is being worked on, both in terms of presentation as well as graphics. Every broadcaster will also be facilitated to allow them to show their national televote on screen at the end of the announcement of the televoting results. In this way, viewers at home will know how they have voted. These results will also be available in the app and on the website. Before people judge whether they like this or not, I would encourage everyone to experience it once first, and judge afterwards
