July 6, 20159 yr It's been a great tournament and it has definitely raised the profile of women's football, however there are hopes that the game can be developed further in Britain according to Sampson. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33391790 Eniola Aluko agrees http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33404356
July 7, 20159 yr USA 4-0 up after 16 mins. Almost an embrassment how easy it was for USA. Lloyd's third goal was magic. In the first half it was almost like what Germany did to Brazil in that 2014 World Cup Semi-Final. Japan got a goal back from Ogiami and then another thanks to a Johnson own goal. Two minutes later, USA got their fifth, Japan very poor in a set piece. 5-2 in the end. More goals in that final than the last 4 Men's World Cup Finals. To me, the bolded statement says something positive for the women's game....
