June 4, 201510 yr Author That's my kitty cat CkXsYjSLbKA 11. All Saints - Lady Marmalade | Average Score: 6.763 | Highest Rates: 9 (ThePensmith), Lowest Rates:4 (Liamshikari27, gavindeejay) At #11 is the ever fantastic and funky "Lady Marmalade" by All Saints and stands as the only single of theirs not to gain a 10, but did manage several high rates including a 9 and several 8's and 7's. Released in April 1998 as the 3rd single from their self titled debut album, alongside "Under The Bridge" which was a cover of Red Hot Chilli Peppers hit as a double a-side. This was originally sung by LaBelle in 1974 and became a US #1 and has been covered many times through the years. All Saints became the first group to take it #1 in the UK becoming their 2nd chart topper and became a hit in several countries as well by hitting top 10 in Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and Finland. In some countries it was released as a stand alone single after "Under The Bridge" in France and Swiss, managing top 40 peaks in those countries.

Appleton - Don't Worry | Average Score: 6.941 | Highest Rates: 11 (gavindeejay), 10:(Nick F1, Mike Sugafan, Kyliefan '14, ThePensmith), Lowest Rates: 0 (Liamshikari27, fgi09505) As we now enter the top 10 of this countdown we say goodbye to the last of the Appleton sisters singles is the ever fantastic "Don't Worry" which definitely stands as their most memorable hit, released in February 2003 as the 2nd single from "Everything Eventual" and became their 2nd top 5 hit by reaching #5 on the UK charts. The song was also used for the Galaxy chocolate adverts since it's release. The album was released shortly after this and peaked at #9 on the UK charts, the only album of any of their solo careers to chart in the top 10, despite this success they would release only one more single, before getting dropped by Polydor records and despite signing to Concept Music, they still never released anymore material, which is such a shame as they did have such great potential. This did manage several high scores on this rate with a 11 and 4 10's along with several 7's and 8's.
June 4, 201510 yr I like their cover of Lady Marmalade, better than the one of 'Under The Bridge'. I may get shot for saying this, but it's so much better than the Xtina/P!nk/etc. one.

All Saints - Bootie Call | Average Score: 6.973 | Highest Rates: 10 (Xtine), Lowest Rates: 2 (Mike Sugafan) At #9 we get the sexy and sultry All Saints single "Bootie Call" released in August 1998 as the 4th single from their debut album "All Saints" and became their 3rd #1 in a row, co written by band member Shaznay Lewis and topped off a successful year for the girls having 3 chart toppers in one year. The song did well worldwide by hitting top 10 in Ireland and Netherlands, along with top 40 peaks in Belgium and Sweden, but wasn't quite as successful in Australia where it peaked at #59 after the album's previous singles all reached top 10. This actually scored the exactly same score and average as the one above it and both scored identical scores, but I placed this one lower due to it's lowest score being a 2.
June 5, 201510 yr God, this thread is taking me back and then some Acidburn! Pleased to see 'Don't Worry' is top 10. Such a beautiful song even to this day and, morbid though it may sound is one of the songs I would like played at my funeral. 'Lady Marmalade' is a far superior version to the Christina/Pink/Lil' Kim/Mya version. I love the video as well - even if it scared 8 year old me shitless for fear I'd wake up one morning with a massive hole in the floor of my bedroom! 'Bootie Call' as well, fact fans - the 800th UK number one at time of its charting! I remember so clearly them performing it on 'Top of the Pops' when Mel was pregnant and what a stink it caused at that time by tabloid columnists.

All Saints - War Of Nerves | Average Score : 6.973 | Highest Rates: 10 (AaronTM), Lowest Rates: 3 (Liamshikari27, gavindeejay) At #8 is All Saints "War Of Nerves" which scored the same as "BC", but I placed this higher due to it getting one higher rate. Released in November 1998 as the 5th and final single from their self titled debut album. It peaked at #7 on the UK charts and despite being the album's lowest charting single it sold well throughout the X-Mas period with sales of 200,000 copies sold and earning a silver disc. This also topped of a very successful year for the girls with 3 #1 hits, 2 Brit Awards and they're album selling over a million copies, 1998 was definitely their strongest year and they wouldn't quite hit those high's again. Worldwide it was only given a limited release and charted in 3 other countries, none of which matched it's UK success, which isn't a surprise due to the fact that it's the 5th or 6th in some countries single from an album that's already a year old.

Shaznay Lewis - Never Felt Like This Before | Average Score : 7.5 | Highest Rates: 11 (fgi090505), 10: (Nick F1), Lowest Rates: 5 (Liamshikari27) At #7 is the last of the solo singles to feature here and making a respectable #7 position is Shaznay Lewis's debut solo single "Never Felt Like This Before" , released in July 2004 and reached #8 on the UK charts and spent 10 weeks in the charts, 5 of those were in the top 20 and taken from her first and only album "Open" which was released just after this single and peaked at #22. In the music video Shaznay wanted her husband Christian Storm, but he was unavailable, so a look a like was used instead and she felt uncomfortable being intimate with him as she felt that she was cheating on her husband. This received several high rates with a 11 and a 10, and 6 8's and 9's, infact it didn't score lower than a 5 and 3 6's.

All Saints - I Know Where It's At | Average Score : 7.710 | Highest Rates: 10 (Liam, Aaron TM), Lowest Rates: 5 (Liamshikari27) At #6 just outside the top 5 is All Saint's fantastic debut "I Know Where It's At" released in August 1997 and during a time where girl groups were at an all time high, after the Spice Girls hit it big the year before, these were seen as a cool alternative and well I must say that this was a good start, that status would be further cemented with their follow up single. Taken from their self titled debut album it reached #4 on the UK charts becoming their first top 10 hit and made it's debut on the National Lottery Live. It also performed well worldwide with top 10 peaks in Canada and New Zealand. In Australia it originally peaked at #67, but with the success of their follow up single it was re-released and made #12 and also made top 20 peaks in Ireland and France and top 40 in Swiss, Netherlands and Sweden. In the USA it was released as their 2nd single in early 1998 and became their 2nd and final top 40 hit to date there.

All Saints - Under The Bridge | Average Score : 7.868 | Highest Rates: 11 (Xtine), 10: (Acidburn, Liamshikari27, Kyliefan '14), Lowest Rates: 5 (Mike Sugafan) At #5 is All Saints "Under The Bridge" released April 1998 alongside "Lady Marmalade" as the 3rd single from their self titled debut album "All Saints" and became their 2nd chart topper, both songs were covers and this one was originally by Red Hot Chilli Peppers. However it was slightly altered since it contained personal lyrics by Anthony Kiedis, about his drug addiction. All Saints chose to cover this due to liking the overall sound and feeling of the track and although this did cause a stir amongst Red Hot Chilli Peppers fans, this stil became a massive hit and is currently their 3rd biggest selling single with sales of over 400,000 copies, behind (Never Ever and Pure Shores). The song was another success for them worldwide as well by hitting top 10 in Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and Finland, along with top 20 peaks in Netherlands, Norway, Canada and Sweden, then finally top 40 in France, Austria and Swiss.

All Saints - Rock Steady | Average Score: 8.526 | Highest Rates: 11 (Nick F1, Joseph Styles), 10: (Jay, Acidburn, Liamshikari27, Mr Aly, Xtine), Lowest Rates: 3 (Kyliefan'14) At #4 is the fantastic comeback single "Rock Steady" which was released in November 2006 and marks their return after splitting up in 2001, this was also the first song recorded after announcing their return and features a change in their sound, containing reggae fusion and ska and received a warm reception amongst fans and critics, along with a glamorous new look and music video, things were looking up. Even despite the controversy of Cheryl Cole accusing them of copying the sound of one of their songs didn't muddy the waters as when it was finally released it did pretty well entering the UK charts at #11 on downloads alone and then shooting up to #3 becoming their 9th top 10 hit in a row, being beaten to the top spot by Westlife's "The Rose". Worldwide the song did manage success in some countries by hitting top 10 in Hungary, Czech Republic, Finland and Spain, then top 20 peaks in Slovakia, Ireland, Italy and Austria. Despite the single doing well the release of their 3rd and final album "Studio 1" was hampered with mixed to negative reviews and fell really short by only managing a #40 peak, which pretty much doomed their comeback prospects, despite getting a good start and led them to being dropped the following year without a proper follow up single (which got cancelled).

It was originally titled "I Wouldn't Wanna Be", based on the co-writer's Kirsty Elizabeth's romance, before being handed to London Records and became another William Orbit production who also produced their last chart topper "Pure Shores", and received instant critical acclaim and is often cited as one of their best songs. But during the recording sessions Natalie Appleton originally sung the lead vocal on this track and despite being deemed perfect, but at the last minute her vocal was switched to backing vocal, which led her to feeling sidelined and caused even more tension amongst the group and even on the album itself the Appleton sisters were pushed aside in favour of Shaznay and Melanie. The song became the girls 5th and final chart topper to date, the album was also #1 becoming their 1st and elsewhere the song became a success by reaching top 10 in Ireland, Italy, New Zealand and Sweden, top 20 in Finland, Norway and Australia , then finally top 40 peaks in Netherlands, Swiss, Germany, France and Belgium.
June 8, 201510 yr Rock Steady is easily my favourite, a fantastic pop track  A top 2 of classics though so well deserved! Pure Shores to win please :D

For now let's talk about the wonderful "Never Ever" which was released in November 1997 as their 2nd single from their self titled debut album, and after the success of their previous top 5 smash hit, this one went further and really put these girls on the map and shot them straight into the spotlight. Co-written by Shaznay Lewis herself, after her split from a boyfriend. The song entered the UK charts at #3, before rising to the #1 spot in early 1998 becoming their first of 5 #1's and has become their biggest selling single ever with sales of 1.3 million and also won them 2 Brit Awards for Best Single and Best Video, kickstarting to an amazing year for them. The song was also a smash hit worldwide, breaking them into several countries by topping the charts Australia and New Zealand and also hitting top 5 peaks in Ireland, Sweden, Canada, Netherlands, France, Swiss and USA (their first and only to date there). The song was also featured on the Guinness World Records for Top British Singles, with 1.2 million sold at the time and 770,000 copies were sold before it even reached #1. All Saints - Pure Shores | Average Score: 10.105 | Highest Rates: 11 (***, Liam, Jester, Jay, Liamshikari27, Kyliefan '14, Joe), 10: (Nick F1, Acidburn, xketalinax, Xtine, ThePensmith, JosephStyles, fgi090505, gavindeejay), Lowest Rates: (Vibe) So here we finally are guys, after such a long wait for these results we have now finally come to an end of the All Saints rate results and yes you all pretty much guessed it the ever fantastic and unique "Pure Shores" won with a whopping average of 10.105 and was the clear winner from the start, and I would just like to say thanks for getting a chance to do these results as it has been a lot of fun. Released in February 2000 as the lead single from their 2nd album "Saints And Sinners" and was eagerly anticipated after more than a year since their last single, and this didn't disappoint, written by Shaznay Lewis and produced by William Orbit who was hot property at the time, marked a total different sound to anything they have done before, while still remaining fresh to this day. It was also featured on the soundtrack to the film of that year "The Beach" which despite not being well received or far from being a box office smash, this song was much better received and Madonna herself was livid that William Orbit didn't give her this track for her "Ray Of Light" album. When released it became their 4th #1 hit and has become their 2nd biggest selling single behind "Never Ever" with sales of over 720,000 copies to date. Elsewhere it also managed success by topping the charts in Ireland, Belgium and Italy and top 5 in New Zealand, Australia, Finland and Norway, then top 10 in France, Swiss, Japan, Netherlands and Sweden.
June 9, 201510 yr I can't really argue with that winner, it's an amazing song... but 'Black Coffee' is better.
