Not the best line up of judges, its going so slow, and the only decent act so far, was the first act, the rest seem to be so out of tune as if they don't want to be there.

It'll be far slower next year, when they have a commercial break after every two singers.

Really loving Paloma, but that is because I am a fan of her anyway

Bernie Clifton

Another Crackerjack presenter :magic:

Ricky comes off as so disingenuous to me!
I'm not too sure about the new line-up yet. Boy George and Paloma Faith certainly haven't been instantly likeable like Rita was last series and it's strange not having Sir Tom there either.

I completely agree, I've noticed it more and more with each episode and it's annoying me. He tries to play the underdog role too much and there's something quite smarmy about him. He pretends as though everyone is the winner when he's doing his pitches and makes them believe that he will definitely choose to take them through to the live shows, hyping them up beyond belief. It's upsetting as I love the Kaiser Chiefs. :(

I quite enjoyed it, but Ricky seems to be deliberately involving himself less and less, for example not doing much of a pitch at all for anyone and not getting involved in any conversations with the other judges, while the other 3 did full pitches for all the artists they'd turned for and had lots of banter between auditions.

Paloma though

I've been waiting and waiting for her to become a judge on something because she's hilarious and always honest, both of which she showed tonight.

In the last series, he seemed to try too hard. As a result, he filled his team rather early. Perhaps he is trying to avoid that this year.

As I said earlier, it was good to see a judge prepared to say she didn't like a performance.

It's a shame Bernie Clifton chose a career as an ostrich jockey rather than a singer. I was never a fan of his comedy act, although he came across well tonight.

Was so looking forward to Paloma, but she was so irritating, it was horrible to watch. I know she is ditsy, but she was way over the top.

I thought Paloma was fantastic and really enjoyed the episode

Though I'll probably do my usual and give up after 4 episodes as I have done with every series bar the first 1 :kink:

Cody Frost was incredible - a potential winner already. I loved the version of the song she sang. She gives me Leah McFall meets James Arthur vibes.
She was definitely the best out of an overall poor show but I think that was more down to the arrangement of the song for me.
This show just got better, the drag queen... brilliant, shame no one turned not even Boy George
Didn't watch last week's but Paloma is lovely! I've loved Charley and Megan too, the latter's song choice was brilliant.
I know Of Owen in real life, a really nice guy and amazing in drag. Hope this gets him more exposure at least, amazing at opera but not at actual singing.

Paloma was much more watchable this week and Boy George's one liners remain brilliant.

Lydia Lucy was easily the best this week, imo.

Ricky annoyed me more than ever with that gospel woman, yass at Boy George completely seeing through it all though haha!
Yes Ricky is annoying me too. It's like he doesn't particularly want to be there but just sort of begrudgingly wants to see the last BBC series out, you can tell he just gives no shits.
