We have also sacked Paul Clement, baffling decision and the massive majority of fans are very unhappy. I could maybe begin to understand it if they were bringing in a proper new manager with immediate effect, but our academy manager is taking over "until the end of the season". I don't know how that is going to be a better idea than sticking with Clement, so I guess there must have been a falling out behind the scenes - probably ever since our chairman went into the changing rooms a few weeks ago.

Very unfair on Clement to get rid of him on his first bad run, we are still only like 6 points off the top of the table at the end of the day. I can't see us staying in the play-offs now, hopefully our academy manager can prove me wrong.

A possible missed opportunity there for Hull City as they draw goalless against Brighton.
I see it more as a potential banana skin avoided! It was always going to be an even contest, Hull having lost just once at home and Brighton only once away.
Finally a win after nearly 2 months! *.* Only 5 points off the top 2 now!!! But seriously I'll be overjoyed to stay in the play-offs so this has given us a nice cushion again.

Sitting 5 points outside the play-offs with a game in hand, and in 8th, but realistically I can't see us doing anything in terms of challenging, I was confident this time two months ago as we'd looked relatively reliable in front of goal and seemed to churn out results constantly regardless of our performance, but now its one of the other, we play poorly or we play very well. I can't see that being enough for us as the teams above us are all playing well and the only scenario I can see playing out is that we fade away and end up finishing in 9th or 10th, a good number of points outside the play-offs. That's partly down to our lack of squad depth, we've made some decent loan signings but nothing that bolsters our strength overall as a unit, and Fabbrini isn't exactly taking the league by storm (I'm sure he'll start performing better soon after settling in, I still have no doubt that it was a good million odd to spend, what with him already having experience at the club last season with Rowett.) - but I'm not disappointed, I expected this to happen.

The draw against Rotherham sealed it for me, I can't see us making a challenge up there when we can't beat a team (no disrespect to a side like them, they're a great team and it's a shame to see they've sacked their manager) like themselves, when they're poles apart from us in terms of league standings.

Next season I'd like to thing we can make more of a push, and hopefully we can spend a bit more money and then give a real title challenge. Of course I'm not writing us off for the play-off's, I just can't see it happening especially judging by some of our previous performances.

Never say never, we got beat by Rotherham and we're top of the league.

That gives me hope

Birmingham doing a few teams a favour last night when beating Hull City last night.

Hope Bristol City can stay up, despite today's defeat. Strange seeing Bolton and Charlton on the verge of League 1, when they were good Premier League teams during my childhood.
We still had a *very* outside of getting top 2 with Middlesbrough and Hull constantly slipping up, but at exactly the same weekend as we drew 2-2 against Birmingham last season after being 2-0 at 90 minutes that lead to our downfall - we do exactly the same one year later but even worse!

Really don't want Burnley back in the Premier League :drama:

My ideal promotees would be Hull, Brighton & Sheffield Wednesday (unlikely for them).

Hull doing it the hard way as per normal EVERY season. :drama:
At this rate it'll be Burnley and Brighton going up automatically with Sheff Wed going up through the play-offs with Middlesbrough, Hull and Derby (if we even stay in the top 6) all falling apart.

Massive win for Bristol City against Fulham! :cheer:

Derby really are bunch of bottlers.

Could Derby be set to do a Derby?

Could Derby be set to do a Derby?

It is looking that way with the results they've had.

After Hull's defeat at Derby, it's looking very much like any two from three for automatic promotion. Middlesbrough v Brighton on the last day could be decisive.
