I wouldn't bank on it.

This is a logical choice of single, as they would have lost tons of money on this project already anyway and using a track which already has a video will save them a lot of dosh. Terribly weak track though.

Ye, I highly doubt it but I can always hope. :snif:

I think it's a good choice, especially as Leona nails the song live. Hopefully she'll give some good UK TV performances of it and they'll connect/push the album a bunch.

Really love "Thunder" so hoping it can do something.

I actually think Thunder is a brilliant track, good chorus, Leona nails it live and it has fantastic replay value. I play the song multiple times a day on repeat and have done since it premiered and I am still not bored of it.

Thunder is a good song but why release it in the UK when it wasn't much of a Usa hit? And of course Adele's new song premiers on radio the same week as Thunder getting added to radio 2.I think they should have sent ALS, I got you, or YKMW to radio but they didnt.

The instrumental was used twice on The X Factor this weekend. Once with Bupsi and again with Lauren. :D Hopefully that indicates good things to come XF-wise.

It is sad how excited I got both times they played it. :D

I hope the reason the song is on the producers radar is because she is going to be on the show performing it in a few weeks time.

oh, that's quite promising! I didn't even notice, #FlopFan. If she were to get an X Factor slot, we'd be looking at the show on the 15th of November, makes sense with her impact date. She just needs more than R2 to stabilise the song, IF she gets a big X Factor boost.

I think 'Thunder' will do better in the UK than 'I Am' for the following reasons:

- it's a more accessible and instant track

- it has a music video

- it already has a big streaming profile

- it's US progress so far (as well as TV performances on James Corden and Ellen) may have some kind of impact on how radio takes to it

Moves up to B-list this week on BBC Radio 2. :D

Really happy with Radio 2's continued support for Leona so far, really refreshing. Just a shame no other major radio station has really backed her.

Capital FM gave this a spin today! :o

Really? What time? Wow - it's on their new releases on the website too. Maybe they do have a deal to playlist this with a JBB performance?!

I hope this is true and isn't just a mistake on Compare My Radio, how accurate is compare my radio?

I went through all the plays on Capital from today and could not find it :( Unless it was in the night.

Where do you see that? I never knew you could look through their plays.

Edit: Oh wait I think I found it, maybe it was played on one of the regional shows rather than Capital London.

Radio1 is a definite no, i'd be the most shocked i have ever been if they ever added anything from this campaign to their playlist. Will never say never for Leona though, all she needs to do is feature on a relevant rapper or DJ's single to get playlisted again..
