August 26, 20159 yr I'm in the Usa.Dont be fooled by the updates.My local station hardly plays it maybe once a day. Most of the plays are between 12 am and 5 am.Also I watched Vh1 today, they didn't play Thunder all dday.Might be time to move on to the next single.

Well your station is only 1 of the 61 stations currently spinning it. Things seem to be picking up this week after a bit of a lull last week - so don't worry just yet. Until it gets added to Top 40 radio it won't sell well.I would feel better if it gained faster on Hot AC so at least she could sell albums.And by the way Dave, my local station is ranked #10 in the Usa.

I'll just interpret your post as a point of concern rather blanket notice, because I've had the same worry. My fear is actually that the actors who tried to impede her effort have found accomplices this side of the pond. I really hope I'm wrong, it would reprehensible for anyone Leona has worked with in the past - and parted from - to try and use their influence to block her progress. I know she has worked with a few HUMONGOUS egos in the past, but I'd really hate to think they were in any way trying to stand in her way. And, moving on: I believe in I AM. I believe it's the kind of music that sells in today's current lyric/melody conscious marketplace. I believe THUNDER has been a perfect lead for it, and I wait like everyone else to see how soon it's added to Top 40. This has been a stickler for most fans, but maybe there is the way Top 40 works that Def Jam is looking to capitalize on. I just noticed Nick Jonas 'Levels' was added three days ago and is already getting over 200 spins/a day. I imagine if there is some payola in place that guarantees 250+ spins, then a week before and two weeks after album release would be perfect for Thunder? That, complemented with TV promo. Or am I wrong. I really hope this is strategy. I'm not to eager to see a second single decided to soon. I Got You will need a precedent to guarantee airplay however good is sounds; ALS has the risk of being more niche that assumed; Ladders may have the same problem as I Got You; and POWER sounds too brilliant to be dropped without major planning. I may be the only one on this, but after Thunder peaks in the US (late October, I imagine), I would like them to get back to FUMF - maybe a remix with say, Iggy Azalea. Send it straight to Top 40. I know everything you have just said, I have had to explain this to you on another forum on several occasions. Yes your station may rank well, but that doesn't mean it is representative of the whole of the USA, just because your station has been playing her at night doesn't mean the rest are. August 26, 20159 yr Very true. Didn't One More Sleep do really well on Hot AC but nothing in the Hot 100? It managed to chart at #10 on the AC radio chart and got some play from HAC. Considering how long Leona had been away, it did quite well! Maybe with the new US campaign for "I Am" we might even see some HAC/AC stations picking up "One More Sleep" again this year. :)
