Kvitova and Tsonga out, Federer and Murray losing their first sets. Seemed like a strange day.

Really looking forward to the Williams sisters match tomorrow first up on Centre Court. Could Venus spring a surprise against Serena? It will be interesting how the crowd are to Serena after the last match.

Another match featuring Nick Kyrgios which will be remembered for his antics.

No need for that at all.

Anyone seen the awful Wimbledon 2Day highlights show?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-31...icism-fans.html

For a highlights programme only 21 minutes out of 60 last Monday were actual tennis highlights.

Djokovic is currently two sets down against South African Kevin Anderson!
Just dominated the third set however. Has the feel of Murray vs Verdasco 2 years ago with the 3-2 comeback IMO.

Another day, more headlines for the wrong reasons for Nick Kyrgios who has accused Olympic swimming great Dawn Fraser as a 'blatant racist for this:

She later apolgised for her comments.

Back to the tennis and it's women's quarter-finals day:

Centre Court:

Sharapova v Vandeweghe

Williams v Azarenka

Court 1:

Muguruza v Bacsinszky

Keys v Radwanska

Great chance for Muguruza and Bacsinszky to get into a Grand Slam semi-final.

Interesting match between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka hope that lives up to its billing.

And also the final set showdown between Djokovic and Anderson.

So Novak Djokovic through to the quarter-finals 7-5 in the final set.

Good effort from Vandeweghe against Sharapova. Good match that was.

Currently 4-2 to Williams in the second set who is one set down. A very good match going on at the moment. Hoping for an Azarenka victory there.

Silly rain interrupting the matches for ages :(

I did notice that all 4 men's quarterfinals are being played between people whose countries speak the same language. With two Swiss-French matchups. Looks very neat and orderly.

So it will be a Murray v Federer semi-final with both of them through in straight sets in their respective matches. Regarding the rain sitaution, surely the tournment referee Andrew Jarrett should have asked to put the roof on if he knew there was going to be rain forecast during the match. It is frustating regarding rain. Court 1 will be having roof soon but not until 2019.

Currently Djokovic one set up against Cilic and one set all between Warwinka and Gasquet.

Regarding Richard Gasquet he was provisionally suspended from tennis in 2009 for testing positive for cocaine but he was cleared to return to tennis as he said that it was in his system because of a woman he kissed at a nightclub.

What do people think regarding Kygrios?

What a final set that was with Warwinka and Gasqust. Brilliant stuff from both of them. Gasqust through to his second Wimbledon semi-final winning 11-9 in a final set first since 2007.

Djokovic comfortably through against Cilic.

Pleased for Murray .. him vs Federer will be good, with Fed looking back on form again!

Hope and think Federer will beat Murray. He's looking good this year.

Yet another Serena Williams victory over Sharapova.

Serena will face Garbine Muguruza in the final.

Regarding tomorrow's matches:

Djokovic to win in 4 sets over Gasqust and Murray to win 5 sets over Federer.

Really hope both of these matches live up to its billing.

Gasquet and Wawrinka last night was so thrilling - some absolutely amazing shots played by both players. I was glad Gasquet went through though, I thought he shaded it.

Gasquet played the best I've ever seen him play. I wonder how much of that match it will take out of him in the match tomorrow with Djokovic.

In other news.

Jamie Murray is through to the men's doubles final with his partner John Peers by winning in 4 sets in their semi-final. His 1st Ever Men's Doubles Grand Slam Final.

That's really great re Muguruza, always good to see players breaking through in style!

I kinda want Federer to win tomorrow, I know I should back Murray but seeing as he's already won it before I'm not as bothered now & much prefer Federer in general so hopefully he can edge it. Could be a repeat of last year's final!

Superb from Novak! Was a really interesting match despite the result, Gasquet put out some incredible shots but Djok had the consistency.

I feel he'll beat whoever wins the next Semi.

Absolutely sensational performance from Federer there, Murray played superb but came across a Swiss masterclass.

Fully backing Federer for an 18th title :cheer:
