Does anyone else think shes not really in it for the commercial success and is more of a side project?

This. I think this is true of both her and the others, they all really pursued solo stuff just for a bit of experimentation rather than being hell bent on Robbie/Beyonce style glory. Yes, even Nadine.

Cheryl's the exception rather than the rule, and ever since they went on a break seems to be on a constant mission to play the 'Melanie C c. 2000 - 2007' card and denounce her associations with involvement in 'Love Machine' or 'Something Kinda Ooooh'. Both of which I'd take in a heartbeat over some of the crap she's put on her albums.

Oh God I don't know which is worse. 'Threads' performance or the fact I'm stuck with TWO chart geeks modding this forum now.

Dump these 2 and come to rih fill time

^ Was this at G-A-Y?

Yeah it was - emptied out pretty quickly - she lip synced her own songs and murdered the GA songs was so disappointed :(.

So Threads misses the top 200 on sales of 1,637. It did however chart at #2 on the physical single chart with 625 physical copies sold. However that was over 4000 physical copies behind the number one physical single.

Poor Sarah :(

Best get Cheryl and Nadine locked in a room to sort out their differences :magic:

I think if she had released anything other than 'Threads' it would have been a different result. That was just ... suicidal.
Hopefully Sarah will be pleased that 'Threads' cracked the Top 10 in Jayrusalem and was an OA/OS #1 in Bellamia. :o

I think the fact that the best it could do in Jayrusalem was top 10 says it all

Poor Sarah :(

I do agree though, for it to have had more of an impact she missed the boat by five years. I'm surprised one of her songs for St Trinian's 2 wasn't a single to be honest, they missed out on that opportunity.

One bad performance of the track is hardly gonna sell ~6.5k copies of the track (ie. what is needed for top 75). Radio play on Radio 1 or Capital is the best way to get a chart hit - she had neither. The Girls Aloud fanbase can only get her so far 2 and a half years after the split. I thought it could go top 200 but it's not really a shock that she missed out.
Sarah Harding is evidence that any publicity isn't always good publicity. She's been quite inescapable this year with her appearances on Radio 1, Tumble, Masterchef and Corrie but I believe the latter 3 were slated (understatement in regards to Corrie!). Then the poor girl got the shit ripped out of her for miming in a performance, which is something plenty of artists do but she certainly got it worse. Topping that off with a flop single, it must really suck to be her and I feel tremendously sorry for her! :P
