Shoot! I was actually planning on sending an application in tonight after not being able to do it last night having attended a friends 40th birthday night out.

Oh well. Good luck to all that applied :D

All I'm hoping is that you don't all laugh at my application!

This has been quite a competitive process! We've not yet finalised our choice but we have a couple of clear contenders to chose from.

Hoping to let those that have definitely not been successful know soon. (MKS & Silas definition of soon)

Because I'm a fan of transparency, I has news!

We have made our nomination to the Management and it's up to them now if they agree or not. Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the process! The 8 applications, ignoring Michael's utter farce, we're great to see and threw up some interesting ideas. The standard was ridiculously high, every time we do this it seems to get better! We ended up with a top 3 that we went back and gave a veto test to before making our final choice.

If you'd like a go at this test yourself here it is in all it's glory:

We're close to making our final nomination to Management for our next choice of BJSC mod but it's really close as we have a couple of really strong candidates. To that end, I'd like you to take a look at the following 13 entires from the last 4 contests, post research, and tell me in a veto context if 1) the song should be vetoed or not and 2) your reasoning behind that. Ignore everything you know about the songs that we did not know at the time: (Obvi all of the below is not for public consumption at this time)

Thanks!

Phil

Don't try to guess anything from the 13 songs chosen. They were chosen at random by me to cover the types of tracks that we see regularly (The obvious veto, the has tonnes of points but is not a veto & and the could go either way) and not in any way a reflection on what any of the candidates have sent.

I've always thought a bit unlucky getting Magmetic vetoed tbh. I think most of the P charters heard it on the advert as well? :P

Congratulations to the top 3!

And thanks for the feedback Phil, that was the EXACT reason I was wary about sending an application to begin with. Glad I did though! ^_^
