April 6, 20169 yr THIS IS A SHEET!!! WE WILL BE LAUGHED OUTTA EUROVISION IF WE SEND THAT HALF-DUNKED TOILET TURD!! "will be"? The UK has been a laughing stock in Eurovision for well over 10 years now.
April 14, 20169 yr This is Radio 2's record of the week next week so going to get played a lot and added to the A or B list the following week.
April 15, 20169 yr And for some reason, this week rather than the week of its release, it's on the front page of iTunes new releases and Apple Music streaming app.
April 15, 20169 yr I really find it hard to predict how this will go at Eurovision. I am fully aware we wont be winning or touching the top 10 but could we manage a top 20 position this year?
April 15, 20169 yr And for some reason, this week rather than the week of its release, it's on the front page of iTunes new releases and Apple Music streaming app. Hopefully it'll get a boost with their Graham Norton perf tonight!
April 15, 20169 yr Author Looks like this week must be the "impact week" seeing as they've lined up the R" record of the week and the Graham Norton performance so I supposed that's why it's on the front page. Hopefully it can get close to the top 100 tonight! As for how it will do in Stockholm, I really struggle to see a circumstance where this gets out of the bottom five. It's a good song, much better than most of our entries in recent years, but their stage presence just doesn't match up to the professionalism that the majority of other artists have been showing around the pre-parties. We have to remember that most of these artists are major established stars in their home countries or are winners/finalists of talent shows. We have a semi-finalist and someone who got knocked out in the knockout rounds and there must be a reason they weren't finalists or winners. They are good enough singers but unless they have totally revamped their choreography in Stockholm, and judging by the pre-parties they are sticking with the same routine as in the national final, it just doesn't come across well enough. It's basically Molly part two but with a weaker (if still one of my favourites of the year) song.
April 15, 20169 yr Author Christer Bjorkman made a British paper today, telling "i" that the UK must stop mocking Eurovision and try harder. He goes onto say that bloc voting must not be blamed as it makes the UK sound like France and Graham Norton should stop treating the contest as a joke with his commentary. Nevertheless he thinks Joe and Jake are fairly good and will avoid zero points, but will not win. Stop mocking Eurovision and try harder, boss tells UK Well Christer is completely right isn't he, although I'm not sure how professional it is for a person instrumental in next month's event to be attacking a broadcaster when the theme is 'Come Together' but to be honest it needs to be done so well done Christer!

April 15, 20169 yr I thought they were good on Graham Norton, they bounce off each other well and sound good with one doing the lower register and one the higher. Would be nice to see it defy the odds somehow. The more I hear it the more I think it sounds like the theme tune of a CBBC sitcom or something
April 15, 20169 yr Author Graham managed to tick off all the bingo card in the space of 2 minutes, mention the novelty acts (Serhat, IVAN with his wolf and nakedness), mention political voting in the form of the EU referendum and then say that nobody wants to win. Maybe the BBC don't but lots of people actually do Graham! :o Performance was ok, I do think the song suits Jake better than Joe. Seems like they are going to use selfies in their stage performance, so I presume something along the lines of Malta 2014 which could be quite nice!
April 15, 20169 yr Author In further news, Daily Mirror have taken that interview and made it tomorrow's front page headline! :o Full article is already here.
April 15, 20169 yr Well, he's not wrong there. We probably would have quite a few better results with the absence of Woganism and a few acts that aren't the dregs of our music scene. It's unfortunate that it comes so soon after his death that people can just go blinkered with the cry of 'disrespectful'.
April 15, 20169 yr "A bitter Eurovision boss" What has Christer got to be bitter about...? The UK being shit at it is... no problem to him.

They're inviting people to send selfies, so here's a chance for some Buzzjackers to get on Eurovision. What a shame we don't have Buzzjack t-shirts for people to wear
April 15, 20169 yr In further news, Daily Mirror have taken that interview and made it tomorrow's front page headline! :o Full article is already here. Anybody who compares last year's audience figure with the audience gained when the only alternatives were BBC2 and ITV, and pretends to be comparing like with like doesn't really deserve to be taken seriously.
April 15, 20169 yr I know the Mirror is hardly the high end of UK journalism but that's still nothing I couldn't have told you three weeks ago. Wogan was good at keeping interest alive during the 80s and 90s but after a certain point (I want to say circa the turn of the millennium) he did more harm than good.
April 15, 20169 yr Javine bagging that 2016 front page tho. Quite funny that a Christer Bjorkman interview is deemed front page news in the UK
April 16, 20169 yr Author Found this on ESC United, looks like Sony have put some effort into the promotion of this song aside from the iTunes home page promo and got them their very own 30 second Spotify advert! http://i.imgur.com/UFVsmGV.png
April 16, 20169 yr Javine bagging that 2016 front page tho. Haha! I bet she never thought she'd see the day.

Maybe the BBC don't but lots of people actually do Graham! :o I don't think the BBC are in any position to host it though, what with the BBC Charter renewal and all the spending cuts they have to make, I think there would be a lot of uproar on the amount they would have to spend on it. :P
