Given how many times GW has dropped then climbed back up again it wouldn't at all surprise me if it re-entered the Top 40 next week

Get Weird was Number 60 in Mondays midweek chart information, it was number 53 in the previous Monday midweek information. Based on this, a top 40 return is unlikely this week but a top 50 position looks certain.

Looks pretty good that we'll manage a year inside the Top 100

Like all other weeks sales of Get Weird picked up in the later part of the week and recovered from its mid week position. Get Weird is number 44 this week slipping a small 3 places.

 

I wonder why the album always seems to sell in the later part of the week and not early part, this trend has remained steady since its release.

Yeah that does always seem to be the way it happens. I'm pleased that it only seems to be dropping steadily rather than quickly nosediving now that it's out of the Top 40

Is it anything to do with some new releases making it in to the lower end of the top 40 at the start of the week when the small fanbases purchase, then fall behind LM as the week progresses and the general public aren't buying those new releases? It would be easy to find out I guess by looking at who they overtake throughout the week. Whatever the reason I'm happy it's that way around and not the other. :)

The album remains top 50 for another week with a slide of 4 places to number 48.

Only 5 more weeks until this legendary album celebrates a year since release. Looks highly likely to still be chatting even after that

I will be extremely shocked if its not still on the chart in 5 weeks time. I am hopeful Get Weird will remain in the chart through the Christmas period.

Hopefully the lead from the new album boosts it!
