I think, because there was some decent hype I expected around 300 - 450k, I suspected it would be their highest selling album. After the first couple of weeks it was quite clear it'd eventually make double Platinum.

 

I think it'll eventually sell over 700k to be honest.

700k is definitely achievable. It's not beyond the realms of possibility it could end up selling more than DNA and Saulte combined (723k on latest figures we have)

Get Weird will achieve plenty more sales in the future, in low numbers. As it is still charting it should build up at least 20,-25,000 sales by the end of this year alone.

More than that - I think at least another 45k this year

Yeah it'll pick up a lot more sales around Christmas, especially if they have another album out. Salute picked up quite a lot of sales off the back of Get Weird in Q4 last year and that album was nowhere near as big.

Number 28 this week and remaining top 30. As per usual over the last while the album recovers in position in the later part of the week.

Once again Get Weird bounces back like a boomerang. Quite amazing that number 28 is the lowest it's been after nearly 10 months

It would be lovely if it stays in the top 30 region this coming week.

36 in the midweeks. Hopefully another week where they go up a few places in the second half of the week

Only like a bit more than 5k to double platinum! Could it happen next Friday!?

Double platinum next week would seem like the ultimate anniversary present

They sold just under 3k last week didn't they?

Next Friday seems a cert for 2x platinum.

Delighted when it reaches double platinum officially which is certain in the next 2 weeks at the slowest. For the album to have reached double platinum and still top 40 is wonderful as it indicates there is sales avenues remaining for the album.

 

I would be delighted if they can build on this success and for their next album to outsell it. I would predict if they get the right lead single for the next album it could happen and the next album would most likely open on higher debut sales if nothing else.

So after all these months, I think I've finally come around to 'A.D.I.D.A.S.' properly! Like, I'm majorly in love with it atm. I always "liked" it to some degree (I think I even mentioned about it growing on me rapidly not too long ago tbh) but it never really made too much of an impression on me. Completely and firmly a fave of mine now I think. :wub:

SAME! ADIDAS really grew on me over time. The tour made me love it a lot more, it sounds really great live, can't wait for the dvd!!

Went up a place to Number 27 this week. Sales now at 597k

So, despite only needing 3k, Get Weird hasn't gone double Platinum this week. Not only that, but it seems all we're getting from the girls to celebrate their 5 year anniversary is a Spotify playlist chosen from the #TopTracksOfLM polls HQ ran on their Twitter account

They have. They always do albums first, starting with multi-platinum and going down to Silver, so if Get Weird was double Platinum this week it would've been the very first award announced

Climbs to number 23 in todays chart, so double platinum must be certain now.
