I really don't think 3x is quite manageable, at least in the next couple of years anyway. Just becuase outside Q4, album sales suck.
Get Weird returning to the top 40 is wonderful, i predict it will be within the top 35 when we see the charts on Friday. Get Weird will never make triple platinum as it is too far away. It may continue to sell in low numbers for the foreseeable but 250,000+ more sales in my opinion isnt going to happen.
Not at all.

If the upcoming era ends up being as successful as the previous one, I can totally see Get Weird reaching 3x Platinum before the LM5 era!

I believe that would make it the 1st girl group album to reach 3x Platinum since Girls Aloud's Greatest Hits album from 2006. :o Can someone confirm this?

How much has 'Out Of Control' sold? I think that's near triple plat. But I could be wrong.

If I am wrong, then GW will be the biggest girl group studio album since, probably Atomic Kitten?

Little Mix probably won't get #1 album if they're releasing on the 18th November as they have Emeli Sandé and Bruno Mars standing in their way *wrong thread sorry

I'm not going to completely rule out triple platinum in the next few years, if they continue to get stronger the album will see boosts when they do activity. I can see if they get a show dedicated to them on ITV for example it could see a big boost. It would be great to see. I guess we will see the kind of boost the album gets with the new release and all the new promo and go from there.
I remember ITV used to do those An Audience With... shows ages back. Something like that would be perfect for LM

I believe 'Out Of Control' had sold just under 800k in early 2013, so it's probably still a long way off from being certified 3x Platinum.

Speaking of Girls Aloud, does anyone think that Little Mix are now possibly bigger than what GA were when they started their campaign for 'Tangled Up'?

The immortal album is back in the Top 40 at Number 37!
YES! Wonderful news. Ahhh. After their performance on XF this weekend, could we see it climb up some more? Like top 25/20? AHHH.
With the longevity it has already showed it wouldn't entirely surprise me
Given Get Weird's chart run so far it wouldn't at all surprise me
Really impressed with it climbing again and likely of sales of around 3,500, it really shows the album has a reasonable amount of sales left to come.
Could we end up with Get Weird and Glory Days in the Top 40 at the same time?
Number 27 this week- that's now A YEAR on the chart. What an achievement
