September 11, 20159 yr Author 30. Puppet MUJeJ7_-bok Score: 7.580 Highest Score: 10 x 3 (Mike Sugafan, Acidburn, Hurricane) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (Joe) It was only a matter of time. I’m shocked that Puppet ended up as the second highest Headlines! track only behind Higher. I don’t dislike Puppet at all and think it’s a great song, but is it really deserving of a Top 30 position when they have so many choons? Apparently so. Puppet is a rehash of a Fallen Angelz song so it’s only right that Mollie is so prominent on it (and sounds great on it too!). Their routine for this on tour was also pretty cool. Thank you Joe for giving Puppet a 3 because had you not it would’ve gotten ahead of the #29 song which is one of my favorites.
September 11, 20159 yr Author 29. 30 Days 9T6trR9nDhU Score: 7.593 Highest Score: 10 x 5 (JSG, AdamAloud, Zach, Cameron, Totto) Lowest Score: -1 x 1 (Ultraviolence) Well this is a bop if I've ever heard one! Up next is 30 Days, coming in at a criminally low #29. There are so many average songs ahead of this and it breaks my heart. 30 Days, which we all know was initially meant for an On Your Radar re-release, would've fit in much better on that album than it did on LFTW. Still, it helped to keep them relevant in 2012 and set them up for success with the release of What About Us. Some people (Tim) think it sounds like a demo but I couldn't disagree more. I love the production, vocals, and everything else. It's also their best music video ever. If this maintained its #2 midweek position you'd all be praising it up and down, let's be honest.
September 11, 20159 yr Author 28. Leave A Light On Wx1vYJXK9Jw Score: 7.654 Highest Score: 10 x 2 (JSG, Mike Sugafan) Lowest Score: 4 x 1 (Sean) At #28 we have another great track leaving the countdown. Leave A Light On, written and initially recorded by Amber Riley from Glee, is the only good ballad on Living For The Weekend. Looking back I really wish it would've been a single because I think it would've gotten a lot more airplay than Not Giving Up at that time (even though NGU is better) as Radio 1 would've been more likely to playlist a song like Leave A Light On. I'm glad they performed this at least once, even if the song is a little too Rochuna heavy, especially in live form.
September 11, 20159 yr BITCH PLEASE. At least it didn't end at #30  It did on Popjustice though
September 11, 20159 yr Author 27. Set Me Off PHEXMVcWKes Score: 7.673 Highest Score: 10 x 4 (Mike Sugafan, Mackenzie, Sean, Hurricane) Lowest Score: 2.5 x 1(Cameron) Love that we've really gotten into the good ones now! Is anyone else surprised that Set Me Off came ahead of Keep Her, Leave A Light On, and 30 Days? I didn't realize it was this well liked here but it really is a great and catchy track. It stands out as one of the most uptempo songs on Chasing Lights and I wonder how it might've fared as a single? Cameron gave this gem a 2.5 which is what I think I gave Issues so I guess that makes us even. #Floperon
September 11, 20159 yr *Tim. Shutyomowf. '30 Days' is one of those songs that I think I like a lot less than I actually do! It's so good.
September 11, 20159 yr Author 26. Denial pDxSVh-SGgk Score: 7.673 Highest Score: 10 x 4 (Mike Sugafan, Sean, Hurricane, Martyn) Lowest Score: 5 x 1 (Ultraviolence) At #26 we have the lush Denial. This Ina Wroldsen-penned track is definitely a standout track on Wordshaker and I'm glad they performed it on the Headlines! tour. If I remember correctly this did very poorly in the Song Sorter results so I'm glad it actually is appreciated. What I find most impressive is that the lowest score received was a 5. While the Sats can be hit or miss with their ballads, this is definitely a hit.
September 11, 20159 yr Author I'd like to dedicate Denial to all the posters who provided 30 Days and Missing You with low scores.
September 11, 20159 yr I'd like to dedicate Denial to Cameron and his sexuality. That's just not nice, babe. And YASSSS to 'Set Me Off' getting that high spot.
