September 7, 20159 yr So Stupid doesn't even has Rochelle on it, so it doesn't count as a Saturday song. Take That though
September 7, 20159 yr 51. Not Good Enough uMrKr8XP7CI Score: 6,654 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (Totto) Lowest Score: 3,5 x 1 (JSG) Our fourth track leaving from 'Wordshaker' is 'Not Good Enough'. Penned by Ina Wroldsen, it's essentially famous for having a few grammar mistakes here and there. The song does seem to divide the fans quite a lot. Either people think it's, well erm, not good enough, or they love it a lot. I actually think it's very decent and how could anyone resist that lovely middle-8? It's amazing! That was the last one for today guys! THANK YOU!
September 7, 20159 yr The video for 30 Days was meant to be for The Way You Watch Me, it was changed basically at the last minuet. I quite like the song it's maybe about 5-10 places too low. Glad Not Good Enough is gone now, it's aged better but so shouty and bad grammar.
September 8, 20159 yr HOW ON EARTH CAN I SAY OK BEAT THIS?Because it's a bop. <3 'The Way You Watch Me' is a lot lower than I thought it'd be! Was expecting an easy top 30 for that. It's good but I find it very overrated though so I'm kind of pleased to see it under perform here. 'Beggin'', although the girls version is decent, is just a terrible song in general. It's not good in any form.
September 8, 20159 yr Author 50. Bigger zkZJcHbT5Gw Score: 6.667 Highest Score: 10 x 4 (JSG, Mike Sugafan, April, Totto) Lowest Score: 2 x 1 (Jay) At #50 we see the first of three b-sides to leave the countdown back to back. Bigger, the b-side to Not Giving Up, exceeded my expectations making the Top 50 and I’m pleased that it did. Although it might not be an amazing track it is an easy listen and it’s nice to hear them switch up their sound and give us something a little more R&B. The song suits Rochelle and Vanessa’s voices perfectly and Mollie gives us some strong vocals in the middle eight as well. Bigger earned an impressive four 10’s and nothing lower than a 2. September 8, 20159 yr Author 49. When Love Takes Over ql4l5yTHsSA Score: 6.762 Highest Score: 10 x 1 (Ultraviolence) Lowest Score: 3 x 1 (April) The next b-side is When Love Takes Over at #49. I would like to hear everyone’s opinions on this one as I don’t recall what the reception was when this first came out. I personally love it and think they did the song justice, unlike so many of their other covers. I do wish there was more Mollie and Frankie on the track but I suppose if there was it might’ve fallen flat vocally. When Love Takes Over was their “First Choice Anthem” and the b-side to What Are You Waiting For?. I think the two songs together form the perfect summer pair.
September 8, 20159 yr Author 48. Had It With Today QTqHCb5abxY Score: 6.786 Highest Score: 10 x 2 (JSG, Johnkm) Lowest Score: 2.5 x 1 (Zach) Had It With Today is our third consecutive b-side at #48. This track isn’t bad and when I listened to it again just now I realized it was probably deserving of better than a 2.5. This of course was originally written and recorded by Una in her solo days and was repurposed as a b-side in 2010. I think this was bound to sound weak when put with a track as euphoric as Higher. It’s nice enough, however, and it’s a good reminder of the girls’ solid songwriting skills. Only four b-sides remain now.
September 8, 20159 yr Author 47. Lease My Love rTHj0lqlCFg Score: 6.788 Highest Score: 11 x 1 (Totto) Lowest Score: 0 x 1 (Mackenzie) Well, it’s finally happened. Lease My Love is here. Despite being produced by Darkchild and being featured on Chasing The Saturdays, Lease My Love has proven to be sort of unpopular. It has very low plays on Spotify and is one of the least downloaded Living For The Weekend tracks on iTunes. I initially found the song bland but once it hit me, it hit hard. Rochelle’s vocals on this are everything and of course the production is what we’ve come to expect from Darkchild. This is also our first song to receive an 11, from Totto of course. yJCvVeGNB5c
September 8, 20159 yr omg what a flop. In all seriousness this is a song where we NEED to appreciate Rochelle "BREAK AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
