October 30, 20159 yr Lurve that task, it really does expose who's weak. Sales is going to be a part of pretty much everything you do with Lord Sugar. The balloons were a sure fire thing, but I wonder why (if) they didn't raise the price? Surely they still would have sold like hot cakes for $7. Is it just me, or do the teams still feel horribly imbalanced? I will admit, Scott was a very strong PM (at least compared to the losing PMs this season), but he had Brett who seems useless, Elle who's useless AF and has lost every task, Gary who I didn't know actually existed until this episode, Natalie who's a 3x loser, Selina who apparently has a terrible reputation and Ruth. The other team has 2/3 Winning PMs and 3 people who have never been in the boardroom. Seems very unbalanced. I also didn't get all of this Selena hate. She sold something. I'll admit, she does have resting bitch face and seems completely disengaged, but she didn't seem all that useless. It's very hard to tell because you don't see anything - but we didn't actually see Selena NOT do anything after her sale. I really just think Scott latched on to swaying statements from Claude and Lord Sugar to bring Selena into the Boardroom, but realistically it should have been Ruth and Brett. Brett lost the Balloons (from what I recall anyways) in his meeting with the client. Not sad to see Ruth go. Great TV. Horrible with Sales. Sure, she can sell a $9 Sandwich or Salad during lunch time, but I'm pretty sure anyone could (except Sam apparently). When push comes to shove she couldn't produce. I've worked in Phone Sales, if someone was talking to me like that over the phone and trying to SELL me something, I'd hang up for sure.
November 2, 20159 yr David? Was it who won as PM this week is so cute, where had he been hiding. This continues to be the best reality show on TV. Ruth is one of those bonkers ladies we have all met and it is lol to see her try and apply that to selling when people would be handing over hundreds of pounds. Those animal tshirts were awful but the balloons were always going to be a winner. Scott actually did a fairly decent job, though he could have basically sidelined Brett completely when meeting the people showing the potential products and helped himself and his team out maybe getting the better products.
November 4, 20159 yr "Busy getting lost, after getting tossed" is my favourite line this series so far.
November 4, 20159 yr Ok I may have got Charleine and Selina mixed up. I thought they were the same person. I am getting really confused.
November 4, 20159 yr "Busy getting lost, after getting tossed" is my favourite line this series so far. Omg at this  Thank gosh the useless one is finally gone, what did she actually do in the first five weeks apart from fluff pitches? Think Sam & Brett could both be going soon as well at this rate. Loving this series so far!
November 4, 20159 yr That's about the third time I thought/hoped it would be a double firing but somebody got a second chance. Thought Sam was toast there but I he's really come across as a nice person so I don't mind him staying for a few more weeks (lets be realistic here).
November 5, 20159 yr Whew, I'm so relieved Sam survived, he's a good intellectual creative candidate and for all the edit blathering, it looked like he created a much better book than the other team. Shame it was just based on sales numbers, and I was a bit irritated at them pointing 'quell' et al out as a negative, because the odd advanced word in children's literature is absolutely necessary, there are a number of good words I got into my vocabulary very early on from seeing them in a book and having them stick in the memory, that's how you learn. The other book was, as one woman said, more suitable for kids younger than 3. Natalie was an obviously fall girl though, she's been weak all the way through. As has Brett, although he didn't mess up on this task, Sam should have brought in Selena. There has to be a double firing on the horizon soon surely. Sugar's itching for one.
November 5, 20159 yr I like Sam too, he is not your average Apprentice candidate who spouts jargon in hoping to sound clever, he actually is smart and with that usually comes a certain degree of uncertainty when deciding something as smarter people tend to see the bigger picture and evaluate things more. I like he isn't hell for leather like others who make rash decisions and look stupid because of it. Hope he last a few weeks more. Get the feeling Selina gets fired straight off for her attitude in the boardroom without getting down to the boardroom final 3 which is why she probably declined the You're fired slot as she will come across horrific (though probably of her own doing).
November 5, 20159 yr Oh my God! Sharlene's "who am I speaking to" is the BEST THING ALL SEASON. I AM SCREAMING!
November 5, 20159 yr Natalie should have gone that week with the awful shampoo pitch. Someone who claims to be an amazing pitcher ultimately failed to deliver throughout the series. She was on borrowed time. Lord Sugar is bugging me this series. "And it's for that reason....I'm struggling" He says the exact same phrase every week. It's getting boring now.
November 12, 20159 yr Great episode tonight - Lord Sugar was on fire. Absolute disaster from loads of candidates, was shocked David didn't get fired. Think he will be gone shortly, Karen does not like him!
November 12, 20159 yr What a complete and utter mess from pretty much everyone bar JOSEPH. At the start of this process I didn't have him pegged as the competent one at all. I thought he might have gone for four and you could tell he was thinking about it, but when David has been good up to now and made from what I could tell was one error, not really enough to fire. I had an inkling at the start this was coming as instead of saying 'at least one of you will be fired', he only said 'one' - easy attempt at misdirection. Mergim was a bit of a mess, poor guy, I thought he might have been let off, Sugar does tend to like that kind of candidate but guess he couldn't justify it after so many mistakes.
November 12, 20159 yr Great episode tonight, mainly down to how much of a disaster it all was! Joseph was the only one who was any good. The right 3 got fired in the end though, but tbh, I would've fired the whole sub team. My favourites atm are Richard & Joseph. I've had such a huge U-turn on both of these the last two weeks. Especially Richard.
November 12, 20159 yr Great episode tonight - Lord Sugar was on fire. Absolute disaster from loads of candidates, was shocked David didn't get fired. Think he will be gone shortly, Karen does not like him! And isn't she making it clear! I was thinking how she's basically making Claude look nice with how blunt and straight to the point she is, definitely noticed it more this year :o I do live for her putdowns though. Love a triple firing, I had a feeling it would be a double what with it being a total landslide defeat and Elle was way too obvious a target to be the only firing (I was stunned at her this week, that's like a week one level performance not week six), April wasn't quite as deserving as the other two, but she had clearly take a bit of a back seat since week one. Mergim was a likeable guy though not quite ready for the show yet (though the kinda desperate 'sob story' thing did make me groan :() David I think could still be good, not really seen enough of him yet but his mistakes seemed quite minor in comparison to the others' and definitely not quite worth a firing yet. Joseph was indeed quite excellent in this, I thought he was quite up himself and ineffectual before, but the strongest performer tonight definitely.
November 12, 20159 yr The triple firing was brilliant, I did think he might have even fired David too. As soon as Elle was instantly fired, I knew there would be a triple. Plus this time last year, we'd had two doubles and a triple firing - so it was long overdue! All three deserved to be fired though. Mergim was a mess in this episode, definitely the most deserving after Elle for being fired. Elle was a mess too, but she seems to have been a mess for the last few weeks. Especially the cross-channel buying task. April hasn't done much of note since week one, so it's fair to fire her too. I'm glad he didn't fire David. I think he'll have more to offer yet and apart from this week he's been fairly decent.
November 12, 20159 yr I've actually said from week 1 that Joseph was one-to-watch and i'm glad he really proved it tonight! People could assume he's all talk and hands on but he proved he's a very competent leader and manager today too so i think and hope he can go far in this. A brilliant episode, especially compared to the story book one last week it was a whole different ball park and showed people up for how committed they are to the process. Megrim bless him <3 It was right for him to go though and i'm glad Lord Sugar didn't play the sympathy card and saved him because it wouldn't have been fair to the other candidates as he was a big weak link. Perhaps the weakest week ever for a contestant i can remember from Elle though  A complete disaster and she knew it.
November 12, 20159 yr I remembered the 'next week' preview from last week and Mergim and Joseph were sat as if they were PMs. So as soon as it became known Elle and Brett were the actual PMs, I knew Elle would lose and it was actually the shot from where the losing team sits down in the board room to discuss their failure. Idiotic editing.
