Brilliant episode, Elle being fired on the spot was well deserved.

Not sure if I agree with Mergim suddenly becoming the PM just because the PM got fired before the final boardroom. He really had no scope over the entire runnings of the task. If I was Lord Sugar I would have just kept everyone back and fired without a final boardroom.

Mergim wasn't great, actually he was quite sloppy throughout this task but I saw potential.. more potential than April that's for sure.

Not exactly sure why he kept David around either, he's shown promise in the past but I'd put him on par with April/Mergim for this task, I would have cut him as well.

Still some dead weight, can Gary please just lose a task and end up in the final boardroom? Thanks.

This season is quite boring, which is a shame. Nobody really has a distinct passion to want to do well or win.

!!!!!!!

Did you miss tonight's episode? They were all trying to cover each other's backs before they even knew the outcome of the task!

I did think the Discount store episode was quite boring though, certainly not as good as last weeks.

Oh my GOD. Charleine providing the best scene of the episode AGAIN! Her dislike of Richard is quite something. I think she's my favourite now. Really not many to root for this season eh. I love Selina though.

(why do they not show man meat more often? :( there was like only one scene with shirtless guys ALL SEASON so far. RIDICULOUS. WE WANT SHIRTLESS MEN. oh wait only Scott is left and now that Sam is gone I don't quite care)

David tho

The only thing I am disliking from this series is there is SUCH a huge theme of sexism as of late. I don't understand why say, Brett has not been fired yet over the girls like April and Ruth who deserved to stay. It's annoying to watch.

Other than that, it has been a MUCH better year than last. The Children's Book task was dull as f*** though.

Also, I don't get the hate for Selina at all. She is easily one of the best left imo.

Charlene is more of a c**t than she is.

Didn't Brett win his task and has been solid all the way through, to me I could actually see him winning if things go right.

Ruth was batshit crazy and no way would anyone truly invest 250k in her, she was good for a few weeks of a tv show but nothing more, think of her as the joke act in an X factor series.

April did nothing, absolutely nothing.

It isn't sexism that the women have been pretty poor and shit up until now.

Ruth came across absolutely fine. She was eccentric yes, but she knew what she was talking about and was very determined in that particular task. She just got unlucky I thought.

I think April showed herself to be a worthy candidate at the start too, confident and sensible. Much better than some others. Brett just chats bullshit, is intimidating and there is a reason he has been brought back to the boardroom so many times.

Hoping for a Selina win, but I think it will be Richard.

The only girl that has a hope of winning is Vana.

Selina & Charlene are just there to make up the numbers. I'm sure they would have already been fired if not for the gender balance. No way Lord Sugar would go in to business with someone who can't work out simple numbers.

Brett is a bit of a twat to put it lightly and probably difficult to work with, but he clearly knows his stuff, does his part every week and he's just saying it as he sees it - most of the time he's got a point.

I don't think it's sexism, most of the girls have just been really incompetent this year, only Ruth I'd say went a bit early and she was never gonna win anyway. I'm yet to see Selena do anything particularly justifying her place there (even Charlene's had good moments) asides from entertainment value, I think she'll be gone the next opportunity Lord Sugar gets unless she does something special (though it would be amusing to see her get ripped apart at the interviews).

Charlene assuming she was safe before being abruptly told to sit back down was one of the moments of the series for sure *.* Apparently a big twist coming in the boardroom next week, someone from the winning team getting fired for the first time perhaps?

Ok, I'm really looking forward to the big shock from the trailer for the next episode. It had better not be a let down.

She wasn't unlucky, you might buy a salad from a crazy lady almost to appease her, but spending hundreds on something is more serious and she wasn't selling because she wasn't serious and professional and deserved to go.

Story in the Standard t'other day says

Scott quits in a fit of rage

so maybe it's connected to that?

If this is true then

I had a feeling at various points throughout this series that he was gonna buckle under the pressure

. I felt it more with the latest episode than any other!

Sugar should have fired David, Gary AND Charlene this week tbh. We've had far too much filler this year, but my three favourites atm (Richard, Joseph & Vana) are some of the strongest candidates they've ever had (well, since I've been watching). Richard has provided the most LOL's from me. Especially with his reaction to him being left by the group the other week

Charlene upping and going prematurely though... as Chez said. Highlight of the entire series so far! Amazing.
