90 minutes to go! I'm expecting a "mid-tempo epic" as that's what I've read somewhere, something along the lines of a female 'Not Alone' although I assume without dubstep as that's out of date now.

I'm... not sure what to think of that. Hilarious buildup, diction all over the place (and I don't even criticise Sia for diction so you know it's serious), but a few good eastern vibes and potentially a grower once I get a sense of that weird structure.

It's certainly very unique, it's hard to take it in on first listen! That build-up from around 40 seconds in was very unexpected, and can imagine that would be amazing live. Her diction is very poor, I'll need to read the lyrics at some point.

It feels very high quality, but I feel like it's going to be a massive grower which isn't great for Eurovision. But you can't say Armenia don't provide unexpected things!

Listened five times and I'm still not sure what to make of it, but I'll give it that the "youuuuu it's like a lovewave" lyric that gets repeated towards the end gets stuck in your head.
It goes from compelling... To boring. Really could've gone somewhere with this but it just ends up being annoying. Given the glossy credentials, this is a total waste of money.

I was able to understand like 5 words out of that literally

but that build up is amazing! brings an OOMPH into it. i love the instruments too. it's going to look absolutely MASSIVE on stage! *.*

That is truly diabolical. An awful composition, awfully sung. I would criticise the lyrics but I couldn't understand a word so I assume it's all in Armenian which is a good language for poetry so I'll leave it at that.

Lyric video! (which is particularly useful for this song)

This is definitely growing on me! Still not in my top 10 for points but the "oooooh, it's like a lovewave" bit is indeed so catchy and I really like the production. True though, her diction isn't great, which is what stops me full enjoying it, but I feel it could be one of those entries that really hits me in the actual competition week with the performances!

I've just realised what that epic buildup reminds me of...

The mashup currently running through my mind is too awesome for words. "IT'S TAKING OVER ME!" (HARD ACID TECHNO BASS DROP)

Iveta has confirmed that she is now choosing between just 2 songs for her entry, one is by Armenian composers and the other is by Swedes. I sort of hope she goes with the Swedish song even if that is against diversity :heehee: although the Armenian song may be even better for all we know of course!

Iveta revealed today that the Swedish song that just missed out in favour of LoveWave was by Thomas G:son! :o I wonder if it was a potential winner, not that LoveWave will be far away from that but I wonder nevertheless.
