The next single from Jess Glynne's debut album I Cry When I Laugh is "Take Me Home".

From Capital FM:

"Take Me Home" is the next cut from Jess' debut album I Cry When I Laugh which shot straight to number one on its release.

That said, I'm not sure if it's the right place to make the thread because it's not an uptempo as her previous singles, although all of the singles threads are here, so a mod could feel free to move (to Pop?) if it's necessary.

I'm glad she's chosen this, it was my first choice to be the next single and definitely the strongest ballad on the album - reminds me slightly of Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson.

It will go top 10 but definitely not #1. If she scores three more top 10s from her album, she will beat Calvin Harris' record

Yeah I doubt it'll be #1, she'll probably struggle for top 10 too unless she has an X Factor performance which to be fair she probably does have so yeah low top 10 sounds about right.

I'm so pleased with this, I'm glad they didn't just go for the predictable Emeli Sandé duet as this is a much stronger song.

*edit - One thing I will say actually as I'm listening to it right now, it sounds a lot like she's struggling to hit notes she can't quite reach.

I'm a sucker for songs like this. Chorus is a bit of a let down after a great build up but yeah low top 10's sounds right.

This is to be announced as the CIN song officially on Tuesday, my sources tell me!
Just listened to this as I'd forgotten it from the album and it's quite possibly the best thing she's done so far. What a stunning song, and a great choice for Children In Need.

this is a really strong ballad, big hit please!

would be great for her album sales too as I imagine many people think she's just a dance artist.

Not totally in love with it but I prefer it to "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself" and as Aly says, at least it's not that awful Emeli collab.
The music video is on her Facebook page guys!

Someone seems to have ripped it from Facebook. Not sure how long this will be up for, but here it is.

EDIT: It was removed, so here's the clip from the CIN channel.

That song and video combination will shift some serious album numbers for Jess. It makes sense for CIN too after Ellie Goulding's How Long Will I Love You was such a major and long running hit in 2013, and presumably raised far more money for the cause in the long run than the Wake Me Up cover last year.

Also, with less makeup on I've realised that she really looks like a younger Shirley Clamp!

It's extremely difficult in this day and age for a woman to appear nude in any media for a second, let alone 4 minutes and 33 seconds, and not be seen in a sexual way, but I think Jess Glynne actually pulls it off here.

Still, a few music channels will probably ban the video anyway, which is a shame as it will likely ruin its chances of doing expectionally well.

Well put!

Nice little song, even if it is distant sounding to her previous songs. I could see it do very well (but maybe not #1, surely?) in the chart.

Her best single ever. Easily. So good to see her do something different FINALLY. I was getting bored of clones of 'Rather Be'.
