Gosh, those final few votes were so tense at the closeness, but I'm elated with 4th, I didn't expect anything like as high as that for a post-rock instrumental, thanks so much to all who voted, particularly glad it seemed to be a great discovery for those that did point it :D

 

If it weren't for that flop song I sent in the last one of these, this would've been my third straight top 5 hit in UP!

Congrats RabbitFurCoat and cheers Bray Jake and Leww for the hosting duties! The end result was certainly worth the long wait for me, plus changing my entry twice paid off getting my first ever top-three. Far better than I would have imagined :o But it's one of my favorite UP entries and I'm glad so many liked it! Also very pleased with the results for my three faves ('Fireflies', 'dont copy us', and 'Papernote').

Great result. Loooove the top 6 apart from Ruelle so yasssssss. Tough to break my top 10 streak but hey ho that's life

yas so happy at 11th for Tigertown. I had myself convinced it would be a massive flop. Even better to see a couple of 20's, it's verging on being my song of the year so for a couple of others to really adore it to is great.

Veeeeery pleased with that upper tier! The top four tracks were in my top five, with my 20 pointer ('Clean') finishing in the top 10 along with two more of my votes, so it all went pretty well :o. Congrats on a much deserved win, RFC!

 

Also happy with my own (UP debut) result - a top 15 is good going for 'We Have It All', especially when it was languishing near the bottom for the first half of proceedings. My entries seem to always peak early in BJSC so it's nice to get a slow climb for once! Thanks for all the points, particularly Pav and Seven for the big ones, as well as Bré for unwittingly continuing your BJSC trend of just about scraping me into your votes. :funky:

 

Chez and Iz were the only two posters I correctly matched to their songs (not that I tried much but those two were hard to ignore :kink:), so it was very interesting to follow the reveals! Thanks Bré, Leww and Jake for all the work behind the scenes. :D

I was kind of expecting it to do reasonably well as so many people mentioned knowing it in the initial thread, although I've known the song since March and sent it initially when Jake first opened it, and elected to keep it. Glad so many people love it, though it wasn't that instant for me. Is one of my favourite songs of the year but was listening to it for about 6 weeks before I thought "hold on, this is really good"

 

Not been on BuzzJack enough this year to have seen any mentions of it or him so had no idea people knew about it.

 

So, I'll open the next Nuggets tonight now this is done. And then the next UP in January if that's ok with people?

For what it's worth I only knew about it via Chez Wombat having it as a BJSC potential (actually not even sure that was the same song, but it was the same artist at least)!

 

The next UP could do with being a bit earlier than January (if possible ofc) considering we've only had 2 contests so far this year? It probably should have been starting some time around now if this contest hadn't overrun so much :lol:
