Great to see KDA still leading the way on the singles chart but with just a 6k lead I'm worried the 1D video coming tonight will give them a last minute advantage :( Katy B MUST get her first, long overdue number one it needs to happen...

At least Diplo's still top 5, should comfortably hold on to a top 7 finish especially as its now up to 2 on iTunes for now anyway

Really hope Peter Andre drops on the album chart...top 50 would be an awful result let alone top 5, I hope Ed Sheeran or Jess Glynne can make up some sales and push him down a few places...

Diplo's only ~2.5k ahead of R. City at #9 right now and they're outselling him so I wouldn't be sure of that top 7 finish just yet. Like Doctor Blind said, #9 looks realistic!

it would be a travesty of monumental proportions were that generic 1d dirge to somehow beat the mighty kda to #1~

great result for diplo :yahoo:

HA @ ben whonow missing the top10 :D

Bit disappointed that Ben and Kelly not in the Top ten. Hopefully the gradual build up of promo will make it climb - video came out today.

I am not a fan of this OA/OS thing. Mainly because most people (meaning the general public not Buzzjackers) have no idea how it affects things and can't wait to call "flop"

True, true. But then again the whole 'charting on downloads alone' saga of 2005/6 was its equivalent when legal downloads began to be counted. It's just a very new concept for most still but it'll be second nature in two years from now. Like Olly went #16 with 'Kiss Me' last week, it's set to climb again going on midweeks as they are now. TBH I actually prefer it in some ways because it's less of the waiting from pent up weeks before it gets released.

Yes Olly debuting at #16 as someone who has a really big fanbase and past success shows you that this is not about Ben. But unfortunately being an XF winner means people are ready to jump on you right off the bat. However the media is being very supportive of him and the song. I even saw an article saying how well he had done to get to #7 in the first midweeks given no-one had heard the song before last Friday and no promo etc. Time will tell I think it will climb :) You just don't want OA/OS giving out negative vibes from the word go.

Where's Philip George please? :(

Damn! I took out a subscription of the Digital Edition of Music Week but only discovered now that they have only 2 midweeks updates on Mondays and Wednesdays. <_<

Is it allowed to say here what's the other midweeks info source you use on Tuesdays and Thursdays?

It's not a public source so we can't say :P

Philip George is #18 btw! And Olly's not set to climb he's down 3 places  but that's not a bad drop compared to The 1975 who are down to #59 oops

I'm more poor and crying blood tears now.  I hate MW <_<

Poor Philip George. I just hope he hangs on another week in the top 20.

I know what you mean completely. But I think Ben will be alright. I love 'Second Hand Heart' anyway, if it's any indication to what's on his album I'm pleased with the direction he's gone for, there's not many people doing that country inspired pop in music at the moment. He won't turn into James Arthur, put it that way.

Even James Masterton who you'd think would know better goes on about it being "surprising" when OAOS singles by major acts don't enter in the top 10.

No that's "Impossible" Pun intended

I've always had a good feeling about Ben and more than happy with what's happened so far. Fingers crossed :)

Its odd, maybe some people just like the drama of artists failing. More headline grabbing than explaining why its happening.

Take That can wave goodbye to the top 40 although I think it's unfair that a big group like them have to flop despite having so much promotion

...Why? If a song is by a well-known act and it's well-promoted yet still flops then people just don't like it - that's the definition of fair.

Tell me please and I'll make your fantasies come true. :(

Nah! Just kidding :P

Very surprised at Take That's Hey Boy performance. Very clear that oa/os doesn't work for them.
I see that those new entries in the album chart are already eroding away very quickly and making way for King Edsus and Queen Jess Glynneth Paltrow. Yas.
