Biography - Zara Larsson

A talented Swedish vocalist and songwriter with a penchant for crafting soulful electro-pop that falls somewhere between Rihanna, Lorde, and Robyn, Zara Maria Larsson first caught the public's eyes and ears in 2008 as the winner of the popular Swedish talent show Talang Sverige (the regional version of Got Talent). Born on December 16, 1997 in Stockholm, Larsson inked a deal with Ten Music Group after winning Talang, and issued her debut EP, Introducing, which featured the hit single "Uncover," in 2013. The song was certified triple platinum in her home country, and after another EP, Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself, Larsson began work on her official debut long-player. The resulting 1 arrived in 2014 via Record Company Ten and Universal Music. It was issued through Epic Records, with whom she signed a three album deal, in the United States. - iTunes

Discussion Thread Here

Aww, fingers crossed this climbs into the top 10 next week :(
Never Forget You is fantastic, I really hope it can be top 10 next week.
Never Forget You surely coming for top 10 next week, which is excellent I think! The song has well and truly hit me this past week
Actually I thought it peaked in the top 10. Maybe it was in the iTunes top 10 and mixed it up with that.

It only peaked in the top 10 on sales

Hope NFY continues to climb, the last minute in particular is exceptional, such a moment when they're both ad libbing
This will clearly go top 10 next week.

I need to search for remixes of this, it's a good song but the production on it makes my brain hurt.

There was an acoustic version of it played on the CBBC Official Chart Show (the one that airs at the same time as the top 10 on the radio) last week, but apart for that, there doesn't seem to be any.

EDIT: There's the LuvBug remix.

Biography

A seasoned performer on the Irish music scene, acoustic singer/songwriter Jamie Lawson eventually found fame when one of his tracks became an overnight YouTube sensation. Born and raised in Plymouth, England, Lawson picked up the guitar at age eight and, influenced by Crowded House, R.E.M., and Leonard Cohen, began his musical career in a covers band while still at school. At 17, he discovered his voice, and spent the next few years performing across the Irish club circuit with the likes of Gemma Hayes, Glen Hansard, and Tom Baxter. He released his debut album, Last Night Stars on his own Allotment Recordings label in 2003, though it wasn't until his second album, seven years later that he would find greater success. The Pull of the Moon was released in 2010, but it took off a year later, when the YouTube video of one of its tracks, "Wasn't Expecting That," was played on Ireland's biggest station, Today FM's Breakfast Show. The song became the station's most requested track, and launched his chart career in his adopted homeland. In 2015, Lawson became the first act signed to Ed Sheeran's Warner Bros. imprint Gingerbread Records. His self-titled third LP arrived later that year. - iTunes

Why couldn't Wasn't Expecting That be at #11 instead of Never Forget You?

Could be good! I did love 'Revive'.

Calm down hens, Zara will be top 10 next week x

Wasn't Expecting That is a stunning song and the lyrics are so touching (and heartbreaking at the end )

I hope Jamie Lawson falls quickly, the accent on this song is like nails on a chalkboard.

I wouldn't expect that. No pun intended.

Biography

One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) are an English-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. Previously, Zayn Malik was a member until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after forming and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013) and Four (2014) topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", "Story of My Life" and "Steal My Girl".

Their achievements include five Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, eleven MTV Europe Music Awards, and nineteen Teen Choice Awards out of nineteen nominations, among many others. According to Nick Gatfield, the chairman and chief executive of Sony Music Entertainment UK, One Direction represented a $50 million business empire by June 2012. They were proclaimed 2012's "Top New Artist" by Billboard. According to the Sunday Times Rich List, by April 2013, they had an estimated personal combined wealth of £25 million ($41.2m) making them the second-wealthiest musicians in the UK under 30 years of age. In 2014, Forbes listed them the second-highest earning celebrities under 30, with the group earning an estimated $75 million from June 2013 to June 2014.

After the release of Four, One Direction became the first band in the U.S. Billboard 200 history to have their first four albums debut at number one. Their third album, Midnight Memories, was the biggest-selling album worldwide of 2013 despite being released in late November. In 2014, Billboard named One Direction Artist of the Year - Wikipedia
