Nick Minaj wannabe? I didn't like it on first listen.

Where the hell does this sound like Nicki Minaj? Huh?

I think that's the sound she's going for tbh!

I like it, like really like the song, but it really is just predictable that she'd do something like this

I agree. Great song but predictable direction. Don't know how anyone could disagree with that.

Well I was never a Fleur fan on the show so was never going to LOVE this but even I'm a little disappointed. It seems the best bit was the instrumental bit we kept hearing over and over as a snippet. Her voice is just too strained for me. It will be interesting when she does this live how the rapping bits go as it was terrible on the live final last year.

She's already performed it live and it was great. She'll be fine.

As for your opinion on the song, like you said, you was never going to like it. From what I've seen so far, the reaction has been great.

I said I was never going to LOVE it :) I just thought it would be better judging from the previews I had heard.

Tbh I'm not sure how "live" it will be. I'm sure with the amount of dancing going on, it will be mostly backing track a la Cheryl.

 6. Jamie Lawson - Wasn't Expecting That

 9. Jess Glynne - Take Me Home

 24. Lost Frequencies feat. Janieck Devy - Reality :(

Fleur is going to do what Ben couldn't... and go top 10 officially! *.*

That is a smash. Whether you like it or not, you really can't deny that! I guess we know where all the money went to this time... Didn't 'Sorry' leak the day before release too? So why are there no cries that he isn't "technically" OA/OS? Stay pressed, haterzzzz <3 :drink:

Lots of probbable top 10 entries next week then.

Take Me Home, In2, Sax, untitled Coldplay track, Coming Home.

We'll probably have a bit of a clear-out, though I'm not as confident that Sigma/Rita and Jess Glynne will make the top 10 next week (Jess will certainly do it the week after, I'd imagine).

Sax is still OA/OS despite the leak, that doesn't change the strategy  It's an absolute banger though and I'm so hopeful it will smash.

I think she has a good chance the release has been handled much better and the XF performance week of release etc.

You have to feel a bit for Ben Haenow, they aren't even hiding that he may have won but Fleur is the one they are investing in. Ben cant be dumb he must know them having him perform on the Saturday show was like relegating him to 2nd spot straight away, the Asda ad promo for Sax (no doubt paid for by Syco) is just sticking the knife in. Makes me want him to actually do decently in the face of the machine working against him and 2nd hand heart is a decent song too.

The way the releases have been handled seems to indicate that doesn't it. Well we have seen how fickle Simon can be even if this is the case, who knows how long it lasts.

Album sales will be the decider.

But if they want to know why people are switching off in droves/losing interest, they only have to look at this kind of thing tbh.

I'm not sure Syco would have paid for the song to be in the advert, but they'd have allowed it to be used, possibly for no fee, which amounts to the same thing.
The problem with Little Mix's and Ben Haenow's peaks is the on air on sale release; only acts who truly can benefit from this kind of release strategy should use it, and just because it's one of the most recent methods of launching a release doesn't mean that all acts should use it for the sake of it. Love Me Like You and Second Hand Heart would've achieved a much more satisfying performance if they had been put up for pre-order originally and then released on the 30th. This is obvious.

Nobody's denying that's obvious but it isn't all about chart positions any more. Anyway this conversation has been discussed to death on here I feel :)
