I loved this episode. It was emotional, powerful and very funny. I welled up so many times - the closest to actual tears being when Naomi was talking about her mom on the runway. I think the super-sized episodes work so much more because they're not as heavily edited, there's too much to fit into 40 minutes.

Yes, i agree - Derrick had to go, everyone else's drag was fantastic (Well, Bob's not so much but still better than Derrick's). The top three's outfits were utterly breathtaking, some of the best I've ever seen on the show. A worthy win for Kim Chi, but in any other season Chi Chi or Naomi could have won with those looks. Derrick just looked so basic and out of place next to them.

I did however warm to Derrick in this episode, I don't think the arguments with NS were one-sided, I think they were both being a bit too cruel to one another, even if valid points were made. Derrick's story with his mum really made me empathize with him and I really liked what Bob had to say to him at the end. I think his biggest downfall in the competition was being told "not to do Britney", too early into the competition. He was told it in episode one, and I think that really threw him off and made his drag a bit too aimless.

Britney has almost two decades of looks, and has had so many different phases/aspects to her personality to draw from, and I think it would have been great to have seen Derrick adapt to the different challenges with those different aspects of Britney in creatives ways throughout the competition - (but coming out of the character when it's 100% vital). I don't see the issue with his main talent being an impersonater, if he does it with wit and irony and pulls it off well.

Anyway, of the final 4, Bob is my least favourite left. I feel like he's a cooky male comedian rather than an actual drag queen. Naomi and Kim Chi are my favourites but I also love Kim Chi.

About time we had that result, and it was exactly what should have happened too. Derrick has outlasted her welcome by a good 3 or 4 weeks, whilst I did like her at times. This was definitely a real misfire

I agree it was the best episode so far, we got to see more of ALL of them, and it was so rounded with so many moments. I whole heartedly agree with the winner, the comment that really summed Kim Chi up for me is that by saying nothing, she says everything. The outfit for her mother is definitely one of the best I have seen on Drag Race, so poignant with the story behind her and her mother as well. I have so much love for her and I'm really rooting for her to win, but I couldn't agree more that this has to be the best top 4 they've ever had, I love them all in their own way and they all bring something different to the table. I still think it will definitely be Bob though, the way they are editing it to make her journey really clear, from being quite arrogant to gradually becoming humble and then having a stumbling block with being in the lipsync that will probably cement the humbleness. She is my least favourite though for the flaws in her actual drag which don't get picked up as much as they have for others imo, but talent wise (especially comedy) you couldn't argue with her winning and I still wouldn't mind at all!

My personal rank would be:

01 Kim Chi

02 Chi Chi

03 Naomi

04 Bob

But as I say I love them all, I'd be happy with any of them winning I just wouldn't be happy if Kim was 4th but I definitely think it will be Naomi or Chi Chi.

I think the show would really benefit from just having 90 minutes as the standard as pretty much all of those episodes were really good and some of the less memorable ones, especially snatch game, felt really rushed in comparison. Derrick had been on borrowed time for a good 4 weeks already so you can't argue with this result (and it still baffles me how she still just didn't seem to get the critiques and bought into her own hype, warra qunt). Chi Chi was the one who really surprised me given her previous design challenges have been a touch basic but she pulled it out.

Despite the fact that she's my favourite I actually think (unless they're being SUPER obvious) they won't give it to Bob. I kind of see it similar to Alaska/Jynx in Season 5 where they gave it to Jynx despite Alaska being (to me at least) the best all round/most consistent performer because Alaska didn't really need the win to become a star in the way that Jynx did which makes me think that they'll give the win to either Kim or Chi Chi (or maybe I'm just overthinking it and the rest of them should just be happy to be there).

Completely agree that this was one of my favourite episodes of the entire series.

Puppets was hilarious, they did not hold back!

I fell properly back in love with Bob this week... not just for the story about his Mum, I think he's had a few weeks now where he has started to become warmer. Yeah they're probably editing the journey but it's working for me, I think of the four, she is the star.

I do agree the drag is often not as up to scratch as the remaining three, but as stated they all have a talent and Bob's comedy is just as valid as Kim's paint for me. As he attested to in the workroom, it's not like his make up and costumes are BAD (though his Mum outfit was quite weak), it's just not the number one focus of his performance.

I also feel like even though I agreed Bob was bottom two based on the looks (not based on the performance where she was the star), I think she was just unlucky that the others were so great. Derrick was in the bottom two because she looked terrible, Bob was there because she just wasn't quite as strong. It's a shame when people fall into the bottom two without even being bad, the eleganza cardboard dress was great for me.

Anyway, alls well that ends well. I was panicked Derrick would turn the lip sync but she was messy as all hell. Like, really bad. And Bob confidently smashed it. No other outcome they could have had.

It's tough now, with Derrick and Robbie gone the series is suddenly looking really strong again what with Naomi really picking up the pace and Chi Chi having a good week. I really like all four and wouldn't begrudge any winning though I am firmly Team Bob again.

PS. Did I make it up or did Derrick make a slight about people not winning a challenge? He was the last to actually win one no? The other four have all picked up victories before..

What an episode, probably one of my favourite of the season so far along with the Bitch Perfect episode. Happpy with the result, they really were all (apart from Derrick) really strong, I wasn't sure who would be alongside Derrick in the bottom two but thank god he is gone. What an annoying drag queen.

Personal Ranking:

01. Kim Chi

02. Naomi Smalls

03. Chi Chi DeVayne

04. Bob the Drag Queen

I feel like they may well have done if people hadn't been so critical of last years winner, a lot of people were not happy about Violet taking the crown. I feel like this year they will try and please most people by giving it to the most obvious one, which I still think is Bob.

I'm warming to the idea of it being Bob to be fair. While he's not my favourite, I do think he fits the bill of a winner the best. But I am so in love with Chi Chi, I'd love to see her do it. But first, I need her to make the final which I'm not confident she will :(

I agree that it feels like it'd be a shock if anyone else won at this point. As far as I'm concerned Bob has it in the bag, but I'd really happy if it were any of the other 4.

The thing about Bob is, can anyone honestly say he has ever excited them on the runway?

No, but I wouldn't say Jinkx really ever did either, and she's one of my favourites of all time. If you've got "it", which Bob arguably does more than the rest even if he's not as likeable, then the runway isn't everything. He's not a fashion queen.

I haven't disliked most of what he's worn though, his black and white last week was one of, if not the best. And his awards show afro and black dress was one of my favourites of that week. Not outstanding but rarely ever bad.

Completely agree with those two outfits. Would have put him high in both weeks based on runway, especially last week.

tbf also, I don't think Bob's runway has been any less successful than Chi Chi's. It doesn't really matter to me tbf, I'm buying everything else Bob (and chi chi) is selling, and his runway is good enough not to damage my opinion on him. I think the part Bob lacks most is his make up, as the other queens have said. And even then, it's not that it's bad, it's just a little basic.

I wouldn't go as far as to say the last episode was Flawless. It was excellent, but, too much Derrick/Naomi crap for me. They just kept rehashing the same points over and over. Got a little boring for me.

That runway tho was excellent, but Ross Matthews hit the nail on the head by saying Chi Chi/Kim Chi/Bob/Naomi were in a different league over Derrick.

Bob's lip sync however was on fleek. He's the most well rounded queen left IMO. It wasn't as good as Chi Chi's lip sync last week.. but it was still very good.

I still want:

Winner: Kim Chi

Runner-Up: Chi Chi

3rd: Bob

4th: Naomi

This has been the best episode this series since the beginning, if not all series. I didn't care too much for the dragged out arguments.

I was so impressed by Chi-Chi's book look. That was amazing, everything including her hair was on point. The top 3 in this challenge was so clear cut.

Oh Derrick, god loves a trier but it was her time to go.

I honestly couldn't call who goes next.

one of the best episodes of all time i'd suggest, concur with the extended length sentiment, allows for a perfect balance to be struck and a more natural, less rushed/edited process to come across. i thought david and amy sedaris were fabulous guest judges, both sharp and incredibly witty.

this was always kim chi's to lose, she owns the runway when she's allowed to create her own vision and aesthetic. i think the mother drag is up there with the very best runway moments to ever come from the show; it tapped into something never expressed prior and really moved in the most powerful of ways. her book construction was exceptional as well. chi chi as a self-declared non-sewer really hit it out of the park as well, her lookbook just popped. so much charisma and star quality.

the ball always highlights a queen for being lucky to have gotten as far as they have, and then to bomb under the weight of the challenge, i'm not sure if derrick ever really GOT drag and was just a blind female impersonator but his effort really highlighted how darienne-esque lucky he was to have gotten this far.

and to end everything bob's ark is complete; from the very top to cut down to a lip sync where he really excelled (kinda jinkx-esque), he's a queen on a totally different level (in that way bianca was in her season). i can't imagine anyone else winning / wanting anyone else to win.

the music video challenge will bring kim chi down to bottom two with naomi joining her at a very uncertain guess.

ultimately i see a bob/naomi/chi-chi final three. i just don't think ru feels that chi is 'there' yet. though it is mighty hard to call.

Kim chi must win at this point. She is funny, witty, artistic, extremely likeable. All around great talented drag queen. Bob also ticks the majority of these points but I don't feel like he would fit the title. Chi chi is a tad unpolished so she ain't winning. And Naomi definitely has a shot. Ru loves an underdog.

Naomi to win for me, she reminds me of Adore in her story arc in this series. I just cannot warm to Bob AT ALL and I don't even think he's all that funny really. Chi Chi is good but there's something missing for me, Kim Chi has the looks down but the personality and presence isn't all there imo whereas Naomi feels like the complete package for me.

Thank god Derrick went, I can't recall the last time someone quite so shit was in the Top 5. His looks were worse than something you'd see down Canal St!

See, for me, Naomi is how you've described Chi Chi for me. I do really like her but I want to like her more, but there's just something missing in the personality that's stopping me from warming to her the same way as I have with Chi Chi.

I completely agree.

I'll admit that some of Kim Chi's looks have been amazing but b!tch can't even walk, let alone sissy that walk.

Yes, it's sad that she's had to hide what she does from her family but that's all we've seen.. she's a wallower.

Naomi to win, for sure.
