Oliver Heldens captured the same magic in Gecko and I loved that but that had all that Gecko had too so it was another great track, interesting vocals, catchy hooks and banging beats :music: Style - A very long runner here but it got a bit of a head start before it started getting rotations when it started growing on me again. It's a nice dreamy breezy summer track but far from her best, this is only her second appearance on the list so far and she still has one to come so it's been another great year for pop Taylor (the best Taylor) Regret - Now we're getting into more mainstream territory so this is quite high for an alt/indie track but it's a very strong one, I fell in love with the 'regret, regret' refrain and I say they do uptempos better but this is their #1 track for me, it has one of the best use of falsettos too *-* Marvin Gaye - Everyone hates this because of cheesy vocals but I like them and at least they're unique, the song itself is just a catchy love anthem but the two vocalists bring a lot of personality to it to give it that extra boost in my affections. Hopefully we hear more from Charlie Puth because he seems promising so far :D Hotline Bling - I was so shocked when this just blew up but I'm really glad it did because he's long overdue a hit and one of his best singles so far. I love how chilled and laidback the beat is whilst Drake does his thing over it, you can't stop your head from bopping to it on the radio. I love the video too, so much fun just watching him dad dance for a few minutes  Take Me Home - I've talked about how Jess does uptempos better and she is still yet to come but she does ballads pretty damn well too. She has one of those voices that works on anything and she really shows that in the gorgeous middle 8 here. Not the most special ballad ever but it is very pretty and the video adds an extra bit of emotion to it. Jealous - This is just a really good pop track, it was one I kept going back to it at the start of the year just because it's so damn catchy. I've talked about very good pop tracks already like LMLYD and Poison but none have hooks that are just this catchy so it has that edge over them. Shame he's done nothing great since but he's very likeable too so I'm holding onto some hope. Good For You - Selena Gomez made a big decision in switching to R&B which is not what her previous appeal was but she made a very good choice imo, her voice isn't great but it really suits this sort of understated production and she's produced the best tracks of her career following this new sound with this and THWWIW which is still yet to come. I like this because it's just so polished and she does sensual pretty good. Wish You Were Mine - Another dance track here and we're getting to the cream of the dance crop at this stage, I've stated my love for robot vocals before so this was just like a dream for me where I get a whole song with them in, add to that catchy hooks and great production and we get a couple of very exciting minutes, I think keeping this track short was a good decision because it sounded fresh even with a lot of plays. I did go off this surprisingly quickly but I'm totally back on board now :D
December 21, 20159 yr Can't Stop Playing is quite the tune but I prefer the non-vocal version myself, or at least they could have picked a better vocalist :P Hotline Bling was a massive return to form for Drake after putting out some questionable stuff in the last few years, his best since The Motto for me. Wish You Were Mine  a definite #1 contender for me, just utterly sublime.

December 24, 20159 yr Author I think anyone who hates "Marvin Gaye" hasn't had the time to appreciate a Marvin Gaye song. I definitely prefer the vocal version, everyone seems to hate her vocals but they're interesting I always thought. Jealous - I was into it for quite a while, 19 weeks is really rather long in Josh's chart. Good for You - Her voice works really well on these type of tracks, glad she;s changed it up. I think it's banging and Oliver's second best behind Gecko. MG lyrics are cringe but I think that's part of why I like it so much, it's all so cheesy but pretty catchy too. Well he beat one of Jess' tracks on here, including Hold My Hand so guess he's the moral winner of that chart. They are quite similar I suppose but I love her new sound, she sounds better than she ever has and her voice really works with it! Definitely his best for me, Alone No More was rather good also though. Thank you!

It's just another beauty from them which is such a delight to here, it also sounds fantastic in The Good Dinosaur ads/trailers, really adds a sense of magic/awe to it all  My Way - Fetty Wap still has TWO more tracks to come in the top 35, it's been a really stellar year from him because all his tracks have just been utter jams. I did think I preferred this to Trap Queen at one time but I think the latter will stay with me for more years so it'll be a bit higher here. This isn't very different to his other tracks but it's just jam through and through, so catchy! How Deep Is Your Love - This was a multiple week #1 here in Josh's chart but it did end up falling rather quickly, I was all hyped to begin with because it was a new sound for Calvin with a catchy tune and good vocals - a bit different to his usual formula but overplay began to kick in and I started to go off it. I'll be a big fan of this in a few years again but it suffers a bit here by being around for so long. Drag Me Down - This could well be 1D's best track ever now for me, it's just a fantastic pop track, become an even bigger fan this era because they release singles this good, massive hooks and excellent vocals too, I think Zayn leaving has given the other boys their chance to shine and they sound really good. I like the video too despite it not being really interesting, it's a nice little theme. Adventure of a Lifetime - Coldplay have always been pretty boring in my books and Ghost Stories didn't do much to save that but they've been fantastic this era. This is now their best single ever for me, it has one of the catchiest instrumentals ever and it just flows really nicely, 4 minutes well spent listening to it and I'm pretty hooked at the moment!
December 24, 20159 yr How Deep Is Your Love  didn't really get My Way but Fetty's other 2 singles
December 25, 20159 yr My Way was good but only for about 2 or 3 listens  his vocals are borderline annoying in that song. How Deep Is Your Love is pretty sublime, vocals & production blending together beautifully. It has certainly hung around for quite a while mind! Agreed on Drag Me Down being one of their best. Extremely solid verses & chorus and sounding quite Police-y, it didn't chart on mine but by the time I was enjoying it it was a fair bit old.
December 26, 20159 yr Good For You and Style are my big highlights from the recent set of songs  Both solid, stellar tunes ~ Also liking the 1D and Coldplay inclusions *.*
December 26, 20159 yr 038 Calvin Harris - How Deep Is Your Love Lovely vocals, not really a banging production though, I usually stan for, but the vocals were the highlight on this more than Calvin! 037 One Direction - Drag Me Down (11-8-6-7-5-7-9-13-19-29-40-48-50-x) 13 weeks nah :P 036 Coldplay - Adventure of a Lifetime (17-5-5-4-5-3-2-...) 7 weeks (SO FAR) quite a good track from these guys! It has a catchy and unique drop with perfectly blended vocals (this is how it's done Sam Smith and John Legend) and one of the most perfect ad-libby endings in song history - this gets REALLY good at the end  Trap Queen - Another track with a bit of a shorter run up this high but I don't think I realised how much I liked Fetty until this was gone, it was a bit weird at the time to make this random rap track even a top 10 hit for a week but I love this now, pure jam through and through. You & I (Forever) - Another year that Jessie has produced fantastic singles following Say You Love Me and Tough Love from last year, she even has one still to come on the list. This never had a big moment of love from me hence the really low peak and only two weeks in the top 20 but it still sounds so good now and I go back to it regularly, she has such a dreamy voice and it sounds beautiful on this track. Ayo - The song appearing on everyone's hate list but much like Trap Queen, I like it because it's such a jam. Chris has been on a lot of jams this year but this is one of his best just because it's so catchy. Loyal did get a bit irritating towards the end of its run but this still sounds so fresh and great at parties too. Queen of Peace - 10 weeks is very short for a track up this high but it was unlucky because it had most of its loving as an album track. One of my immediate highlights from the album but not announced as a single for quite a while so I didn't chart it. Her sound is so good this era with a more mature take on things and her vocals sound as good as ever, she still has two tracks yet to come! :o
December 28, 20159 yr Crystals, How Deep Is Your Love and Never Forget You are all amazing so great to see them all here  Though some of the horrors in that last section :puke2: :puke2:
December 28, 20159 yr Wish You Were Mine, Take Me Home, Adventure Of A Lifetime, Never Forget You and Queen Of Peace are all fantastic! Trap Queen and Ayo are execrable though.
