Charlie Puth kicks off this section with the first of his two appearances. I really liked One Call Away on first listen but it didn't end up taking off for me in the end like Marvin Gaye did. Ciara appears for the first time out of three, with the second single from the album Jackie. Dance Like We're Making Love is a fab song but like with Love Me Like You, it's not one I feel the urge to return to much. Two album tracks appear here, one from Nicki Minaj who shows her vocal talent off on the stunning Grand Piano, and one from Lucie Silvas, with a song I first heard 5 years ago from a live streamed gig :lol: Sia makes her final appearance of the year at #217 with Elastic Heart, a song which had very impressive longevity for a #20 hit! Potentially the best in the history of my chart actually. Birdy and RHODES both make their first appearances of two each in this section. Let It All Go is a lovely track although they've both got superior songs much higher up. Jessie J makes her final appearance, followed by Alesso and Tove Lo who showed how to do generic dance well in 2015 (well, 2014 but still). Major Lazer and DJ Snake's smash hit Lean On is at #213, and finally, Troye Sivan's Touch rounds off the section.

Good to see Sia and Troye here (a lot more to come from him please x). 'Dance Like We're Making Love' :heart: reminds me of the summer *.*

I love both those Sia tracks.. still to come in my chart ;) I did have a little double take on both RHODES/Birdy & Major Lazer being so low, the latter I just remembered you didn't chart very high or keep in your chart for long so understandable I guess but 'Let It All Go' deserved to go top 40 Officially :( Poor floppy Ella :( not fussed on Kelly coming that low, it's not one of her best at all even though it's very high on mine!

I'm a huge fan of Touch, the album was disappointing just for beign too long but this is the perfect example of getting a song to be really exciting, the instrumental was so refreshing and he sounds fantastic on it, he showed real promise and I hope he continues releasing music as a career now.

 

Let It All Go was a stunning track, never been the biggest fan of Birdy but as a collaboration they both sounded stunning, a real shame it never took off officially.

 

I really like One Call Away, shame it hasn't done better in the charts yet (still hope) because he has this really cute sound to his music/image, reminds me a bit of Olly Murs so I hope we get to hear more from him, excited for his album now after two very good singles.

Final batch before the top 200 now! A good few album tracks appear here, from James Bay, Justin Bieber, The Vamps and Lucie Silvas. Also in this section is a Sarah Harding b-side. Indelible is a stripped back piano ballad and a very personal track to Sarah, very different to the slightly wacky side we're all used to from her (see: Threads, that's still to come). Madonna fell over at the BRITs 2015 and also fell down the charts quite quickly with Bitch I'm Madonna but it's a very fun track and I do enjoy it. Living For Love is still to come later in the countdown. Paris Hilton keeps bringing out the jams as the one single she released this year (it's turning into a single a year from her right now oops) peaked higher than her 2014 single Come Alive, but ends up lower than that did in the EOY chart. Birdman not flying up the chart :basil: 5SOS flopped quite badly with Hey Everybody! in my chart, and it broke their top 10 streak. Shame really but the song is not up to scratch and is merely "nice" when they are usually amazing. Finally, Missy Elliott surprised everyone with her long awaited comeback single just a few weeks before the cut-off date for this and shows up just outside the top 200! A huge jam for sure, it's great to have Missy back.

The album tracks are still present here and they're joined by some fleeting top 10 hits and a few top 20s. Ulrik and Carrie appear with album tracks and Reed appears with an EP track, which spent just three weeks in my top 40 despite a #8 peak. It's a lovely song though, even if it's not as good as Crash Test Dummy (Broken) in terms of his ballads. Elsewhere, Pitbull makes one of only two appearances this year :( Time of Our Lives is his lowest peaking song in my chart but remains a jam, and keeps up his top 20 streak (well, top 20 or completely missing the top 40 :lol:). Selena Gomez appears with a song that feels much longer ago than 2015 (although it was held back for like a year in the UK :') ), and Natalie Imbruglia's "comeback" single only makes it to #196. Sadly, Natalie's covers album didn't quite hit the spot for me. I hope she arrives back with some original material soon! Sandra Lyng represents BJSC in this section with a Tinnmark entry. Play My Drum is a fantastic dance-pop song, I still enjoy it now. Benjamin Lasnier had a short lived top 10 hit with Love You Out Loud, it's a good solid pop song but not much else. Oh and it's a different Benjamin to the one who will be appearing later on with the two #1 hits Young and Restless and Unbreakable. We round the section off with BJSC flop from 3 years ago Celeste Buckingham, and 5SOS with a promo single.

Ella "Flop" Henderson appears twice in this section (and then not in the rest of the countdown :lol: poor hen). Mirror Man had pretty good consistency in my chart despite a lower peak than her other singles, and Yours did fairly well too although nothing even comes close to her #1 hit Ghost of course. She'll still be dropped next year. Poor hen. Speaking of flops, Rixton make their last appearance with their third single We All Want the Same Thing. The song proved to be a grower for me after I hated it on first listen. Ended up rather liking it and it scraped a top 10 position, keeping up their 100% top 10 streak. Olly Murs also makes his only appearance, alongside Demi Lovato who has four songs in the top 200. Up is by far the best thing Olly's put his name to although it did grow old fairly quickly sadly. A 3 year old Britt Nicole track impacted at the start of the year after hearing it in a movie, certainly a random boost but it is a rather lovely song where her vocals really shine through. Nothing tops my BJSC smash hit Gold though. Two album tracks from James Bay and 5SOS appear, with the latter actually beating one of the singles from that album oops. Double BJSC action at #182 and #183, with 2012 Syndare entry Ghosts by Laura Welsh seeing resurgence due to a new version being released on her album. A great rediscovery for me! D'yermak'er are represented at #182 with Mikky Ekko, their best entry of the year for me and a worthy top pointer back in the contest (even if there's an entry still to come that grew on me post-contest oops). Finally, #longhairdontcare crew member Bryce Avary, aka The Rocket Summer, achieved his second hit in my chart with the aggressive sounding but rather great Same Air this year.

That 5SOS title just makes me think of Set It Off's Forever Stuck In Our Youth :kink: . Erm... I will cheer on She's Kinda Hot when it gets the business end of this I'm sure.
