I'd say LCMDF probably has the best chance of doing the best for us but I don't think we're gonna have a particularly successful rejects TBO this year. W&M and Kendji have no chance and I think only Eyes and a couple others actually liked Hendersin :lol:

I quite enjoyed going through all of the rejects and rediscovering the entries from months back! There were so many undeserved tunes here. It feels great to show my love to them a second time round :wub: at the same time, it feels AWFUL to give condolences to songs AGAIN :/ I've made about 5 condolences on a couple of contests and I've resorted to prioritising the songs in the semi I was in at the time higher. I expect a lot of you have done the same :P

 

And a big thanx to Iz for those Soundcloud recaps! It's saved me a lot of time which is just what I need and the recap times were picked well, especially Shivers, the BEST part of the song :wub:

Oh yes excellent job with the recaps ofc Iz. Making them for just 71 songs was a bit of a nightmare (though worth it for the end result - until you went and deleted my recaps from your page!!! Can you send me the files for them so I can try reuploading them pls :kink:), I really don't envy you making them for 658 songs :lol:

Mmm, I plan these out months in advance and try to keep up with the contests so it isn't awful work - and hosts making their own recaps saves me lots of time. Just a shame I have to delete them every year because of the Soundcloud account limits. Thank you for the kind words though, it means a lot, especially the part about picking the right part, some songs it's really obvious and others I agonise for quite a while over which would be the best part.

 

I've thought of setting up a Youtube account to open up a depository of recaps for those who want to go exploring, I have everything from BJSC 51 onwards on my hard drive in recap form and I don't want to suddenly lose all of that. I should backup more regularly.

I can only echo the others, Iz, you've done an excellent job, these recaps are lifesaving!

I've done 71-72-73-75-76 so far, for me, 75 is really a difficult one, I'd be happy to give points to my top 10 there. Out of interest, I've just checked that based on my current results, I'm planning to give out these 25 votes to 21 different countries, which is quite good, I think.

 

I don't even know which Land of DW entry to hype, I have 7 here... Carmada's Maybe (BJSC71) is the one I love the most (and it was quite close to Q), ID2 seems to be the most popular (and again, it was close to Q) and Polar Dear was really-really close in BJSC 79. PLEASE let me have 1 entry in the semis...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I actually love listening to the recaps anyway even if not just for voting purposes, the final ones moreso as I'm familiar with the songs, but the rejects ones are always really interesting too <3

 

I've voted, actually relatively easy for all of them, seems every contest had at least a handful of entries that unjustly failed. My top pointer in 72 was one I didn't even point at the time, no idea how at all, oops! I dunno what people were smoking in 77, some of the best songs of that contest there, wanted to vote for WAY more than 5 :(

 

I think 'Ladies' is my only entry with a good chance of qualifying here, and certainly the most unjust of my DNQs this year so I hope it goes through!

the struggle was real in LXXX just to find 4 other songs to vote for in order to stan for Ben Hazelwood.
