I haven't heard a Luke Bryan song that I like in about four years. Genuinely one of my least favorite artists, believe it or not.

#6 WORST: Sam Hunt - "Take Your Time"

The second worst country song in this list is by Sam Hunt for another song that finds the cure to insomnia. Like this is so painstakingly boring it makes someone who just woke up fall into a deep coma. Of course, no one else in the world agreed and this got spammed to no end, becoming Sam Hunt's biggest hit. GAG. At that point I was like, "Please, do take your time to send something if it's not good." Thankfully he has "House Party" so I don't fully hate him. Yet.

I will say that he is kinda fit. Yes, Josh and Harry, that's for you.

Which leaves our top 5 in alphabetical no particular order:

• Chris Janson - "Buy Me A Boat"

• Ed Sheeran - "Photograph"

• James Blegh - "Hold Back The Vomit"

• Sam Smith f/John Legend - "Lay Me Down (Comic Relief 2015)"

• Usher f/Juicy J - "I Don't Mind"

Which will live on in infamy as the worst song of the year? Stay tuned.

Lay Me Down and Photograph to finish as highly as possible :puke: two complete pieces of 💩
Ben Haenow also appears on the list. I am probably the only person who doesn't like this song one bit. It's like he's trying too hard to be Phillip Phillips. I bet Regina is just waiting to demean my character and call me names for this.

I don't need to, you do it for yourself <3

#5 WORST: Chris Janson - "Buy Me A Boat"

Every once in a while there is this one specific genre of music that becomes the choix hate figure - bro country is that genre. Ever since Florida-Georgia Line it it big, these types of songs were like gremlins - you just add whiskey and they multiply. Thus, that type of country has been split into two categories, each of them being equally awful in their own way. There's the sleep-inducing romance novel hyperboles that is slow bro country (see Sam Hunt), which not only gets the boot for being painstakingly boring, but for also trying to make country sound like a cheesy Confessions-era reject. At least Easton Corbin's "Are You With Me?" had some sort of genuity.

Then there's stuff like this. Painful lyrics (I mean, "you can buy me a boat"? Seriously?), utterly obnoxious excuse for recreating swag, and has that utterly annoying hook that easily worms into your head. Now there's the rare occasion that it somehow enhances that effect and works ("House Party") but then there's the million carbon copies of "Cruise" that I keep thinking might end up surpassing that and every year they just come close. This song makes me want to hit myself and then hang myself with my intestines. It's that craptastic. Props to Chris Janson for being the highest ranking country song here and for being 90% as obnoxious as a Florida-Georgia Line song! :mansoncheer:

Hi Cody

Hope Photograph isn't #1 here, why does nobody how appreciate how gorgeous it is - such a lovely ballad and never even got boring for me either, just kept getting better.

HBTR did get boring though, liked it at first but definitely turned to go away by the time it started becoming a really big hit.

YES at Buy Me A Boat being the highest country song here, it's almost so bad it's laughable, just embarrassing. Take Your Time is also pretty shoddy as well if there's one thing I can be thankful more about the UK Charts is not having these type of tracks taint it

Would love to see Photograph #1 here definitely my least favourite of what's left, Hold Back The Vomit would be good to see too - not much love for that track.

#4 WORST: Sam Smith f/John Legend - "Lay Me Down (Red Nose Day 2015)"

Ain't no way is a remake of a decent song going to be better if it's just as pedantic and features the artist who is responsible for the most boring song of last year. That's right - this is "All Of Me" + the worst aspects of "Stay With Me". What was the UK thinking for making that the Red Nose Day single? Maybe they've been reading Buzzjack and thinking maybe this is a way to troll its entire population? Like "Oh, let's take an artist that everyone on this site hates, pair him up with another artist everyone on the site hates, then make them recreate a song that most people on the site hate, just to make everyone hate it, and then have it reach #1 to add insult to injury!" March was truly a dark time for the chart.

Sam Smith - This is good but much prefer the original version
To be fair, I'm actually a bit surprised that the original solo version (not the Nirvana version, that didn't seem intimate enough) receives the amount of hate it gets. It's probably Sam's most touching song but the addition of John Legend was unnecessary and made it a bit tedious. I would have loved for the solo version to slay but alas the UK charts hate Buzzjack for some reason.
I think the original version outsold the John Legend version in the end actually, thanks to streaming!!

Hi Cody

John Legend really was a horrible addition to LMD, I agree with you it is a lovely track in its solo form but I've never heard voices clash so badly on a studio track. A real mess and it sucked the life out too, shame it was the #1 and not his solo version getting the main attention.

Pardon my language (it deserves it though) but that song really is f*cking torture (I really can't think of any other way to describe it!). Such a diabolical 'song' :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:

Great to see it high on the hatechart here :cheer:

I just don't get people remaking songs if they're just gonna be the same thing except more boring. It's like Steve McCrorie. The Adam version was enough.

#3 WORST: Ed Sheeran - "Photograph"

Ed Sheeran really stepped up his game from being painfully average except for the likes of three singles and surprisingly releases x which had a bunch of single-worthy additions and the best three singles of his caliber. Then he announces that the fifth single is none other than... this tranquilizer dart. <_< Josh can at least breathe because I don't hate it as much as the top two songs on this. But the trajectory of how I felt about this song is the main rrason why it's latched onto the #3 spot. I was wowed by "Don't" and was ecstatic when "Thinking Out Loud" became a single because it was my favorite song on the album, and I really liked the dark turns in the Rudimental re-work of "Bloodstream". I'm pumped for what he puts out next as a single and hearing this I'm just... underwhelmed. Of course due to the high demand of Ed, this gets spammed to no end and my ears just couldn't take it anymore. NEVER AGAIN.

USHER VS JAMES BLEGH FOR THE #1 SPOT.

I don't really mind WET tbh :o I wouldn't choose to listen to it though, and it's very repetitive, I think any liking of the song has worn of my now that I think about it.

Lay Me Down  -_- -_- -_- I could almost SWEAR that collab with Legendary John was only made to piss us members off

Agree with Photograph but I'm a lover of the magic remix by the awesome Felix Jahen :music: he's improved the song to a new height *.*
