Posted May 31, 201114 yr Adele has revealed that she is readying her third album for release next May. The 'Someone Like You' star told The Sun that she is planning to include a cover of INXS's 'Never Tear Us Apart' on the LP. "I have five tracks ready to go," Adele revealed. "One of them is quite upbeat - a real 'girl power' type of song." The 22-year-old's long UK album chart reign was recently brought to an end by Lady GaGa, who scored the biggest first-week sales of the year. Teasing the new collection, she continued: "I plan to do a cover of the INXS hit 'Never Tear Us Apart' which is probably my fave song of all time. The whole album will have quite a live feel to it." Adele was recently praised by XL Recordings founder Richard Russell for refraining from the "selling of sexuality" in order to achieve chart success with her "really good music". 5 songs ready to go :o I guess the rate she's working she can have a well earned break ^_^ Edited December 5, 20159 yr by Gingerbread Cam
May 31, 201114 yr She can have her "well-earned break" once she releases the 'Set Fire to the Rain' video and scores a top ten hit with it! But yay to hear news on it - I'd hope it's called '23' to continue the theme.
May 31, 201114 yr I hope this isn't out for a few years personally. Rushing on to another album after the huge success of another will cause her harm personally.
June 3, 201114 yr I hope this isn't out for a few years personally. Rushing on to another album after the huge success of another will cause her harm personally. Not necessarily.
June 17, 201114 yr I agree on the album title. But only because she started using her age as album names, now she should finish it. I look forward to '76'.
June 30, 201114 yr Another article about album 3 Adele To Do Album 3 All By Herself Sounds like she is going back to the 19 route. I prefer 19 to 21 so i will be very happy with that.
August 4, 201113 yr I didn't know where to post this and didn't want to make a new thread but according to DigitalSpy she wants country music to influence her third album. Hail Adele if this is true, such a big artist going for my favorite genre. If anyone can make it big and heard, it is her. She's even going to Nashville! I'm so jealous of her in a way, I've wanted to go there as well for a while now. I do hope it's not going to end up as one of those bandwagon things though (like dance-pop is now), that could kill the genre (just like dance-pop killed eurodance).
August 11, 201113 yr I saw it on CNN a few days ago. Share Comments (174 comments) Permalink Adele plans to go country for next album For her third album, Brit hitmaker Adele plans to employ a country/bluegrass sound. Although the singer may have had to reschedule most of her U.S. summer tour due to laryngitis, she kept busy absorbing American music styles, and wants to use what she's learned on her forthcoming album. "I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass," she tells The Sun of her time in the States. "The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I'm going to be pursuing heavily from now on." To pull it off, the singer wants to "spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it," she said. Adele, 23, says that discovering American country musicians is "like [being]a four-year-old in a candy shop who's discovering sweets again." The singer will have a huge audience for her country creation; her smash-hit sophomore album, “21,” has sold over 2.8 million copies, and is the top-selling album in the world so far this year. http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2011/08/05/ad...for-next-album/
August 11, 201113 yr Author Country is one of my fave genres so I'd be ecstatic with her doing a country/bluegrass album
August 12, 201113 yr I have to be honest I am quick to write off country songs, but on the other hand (in my opinion of course) artists have to show a progression in their work. Which I suppose Adele's doing with this album.
August 28, 201113 yr Not necessarily. I actually agree that releasing the album next year might be a danger of overkill and could harm her sales more than benefit them.
December 10, 201113 yr Adele has revealed that she doesn't plan to release another album for another two to three years. The singer admitted that she hasn't started work on her third studio LP and plans to "set up home" for a few years before she decides to release any new material. Adele told Billboard: "I'm really looking forward to some time to do nothing. I imagine I'll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out, as I haven't even thought about my third record yet. "I'm just gonna lay some concrete, set up home and just 'be' for a bit. I'll disappear and come back with a record when it's good enough. There will be no new music until it's good enough and until I'm ready." When asked if any work had started on the follow-up to 21, she simply responded: "Nope!" Adele's second studio album has sold over 12 million copies across the globe since its release back in January this year. But I wanted a 23. :( It's good that she'll be getting a rest though, especially after the problems with her voice this year. Edited December 10, 201113 yr by Aidan
December 10, 201113 yr Ofcourse she was going to rest, shes going to do the exact same thing she did with 19 and 21, build a massive wait and then come back with another huge album. 21 will still be top 40 anyway all of next year
December 11, 201113 yr I wasn't expecting her to put out an album next year but I didn't think we would have to wait that long :( I presume this means the rumour she's doing the next Bond theme isn't true?
